20 in the party invaded this small pub after a great Indian meal at the Shampan. Great selection of real ales. Quiz was on but still space for all. I wish I lived locally as this is a pub well worth a visit.
A great pub to visit at anytime

The positives - staff very pleasant and very well prepared for Covid rules.- and one great prawn dish
Less good - Chicken Kiev was very greasy and coating became mushy - think it may have been fried not oven cooked. Calzone pastry not crispy and Kleftiko a bit thin. All edible but just not 5 star.

We all love a gastro pub and a hipster bar but let’s face it sometimes all you really want is a good old “pub”.
Look no further ...
Warm welcome
Good ales
A nice red wine
Tv for catching the sport
Meat draw & a domino card
Welcoming for well behaved dogs
Perfect for a pint and a relax

I came in here for a wake. The food was quite good albeit I am not sure if it was done in the pub or bought in. Definitely a locals pub as trying to park around here (without paying) is very difficult

This hidden Gem is without doubt the best pub in Whitley Bay.
Great well-kept Beer selection at sensible prices, super friendly staff and decent clientele.
The staff and customers of this pub do a lot of fundraising with raffles and events for many local charities - a trend not often seen in other pubs.
Keep the good work up....!!!

What a lovely find - a small well-run traditional local off the beaten track. Popped in for an end of evening beverage to find well-kept ales, friendly staff and a nice clean well-run establishment that still retained it's traditional local boozer credentials. It's not for youngsters, but frankly that's a good thing!

Been a while since we used this bar but I don't think we'll be rushing back soon. Why? Real ales were available - providing you like blondes and pales. That was the choice. Why no ambers or darker ales? Why just hoppy and citrusy? No little bottles of prosecco for the lady. Not even a glass of prosecco, or chardonnay. Again, where's the choice?
As a last resort I chose a Guinness, the bar man pulled half and let it stand to settle. took my money, gave me change and served another customer. I waited until he saw me standing and, with an enquiring look, he asked what I wanted. Clearly he'd forgotten my drink still on the drip tray. He thought that was funny.
Shoddy, poor service. Was once a good pub...not now, not for me.

I visit regularly when in the area. You can always get quality beer at a good price. A great place to watch football on tv. Service is always excellent. Good choice of real ales from the local Kings Brewery. A proper pub with good atmosphere. It’s away from the crowds and popular with locals and visitors alike.
