Located in Monkswood Metro Station is Left Luggage Room ,a wonderful craft beer bar that we visited on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
I loved the look of this bar ,the interior is superb, exposed brickwork, eclectic decor and furnishings including some interesting features adorning the walls such as an old bicycle, there's also a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside on the platform, its a wonderful bar.
We had a study of their real ale's, we both chose to have pale ale's from Flying Gang Brewing Co, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great bar we were in.
My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of toffee and a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish to it, a classic British pale ale, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew.
We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we caught our tram back to Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Left Luggage Room is easy to locate in Monkseaton Metro Station.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, Open from Midday.
Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Just popped to say hi to a friend and stopped for a drink.
Love the atmosphere there - what should be a cold room as it retains remnants of the old decor from when it was used by the railway never seems cold or uninviting whether quiet or full.
Jumble of mismatched furniture.
Most customers are 30+ it is welcoming to anyone including dogs.
Had a lovely glass of Sauvingnon

Amazingly nostalgic and quirky bar. The staff couldn't be friendlier and the drinks regularly rotate throughout time to keep things fresh and exciting. It's dog friendly too which is a huge bonus when you're sitting near the fire with a pint and your furry friends. Can't fault it.

I have been a frequent visitor to this pub since it opened and had many a great time there. The atmosphere is always friendly and plenty of lovely beers to choose from. However I am disappointed with how dirty the pub has become. The stale smell of urine from the toilets is disgusting. This permeates through the whole pub especiallyon a warm day. The ladies toilet looks like it has never been cleaned since the last time it was open to the public before this last lockdown. The back of the toilet seat was filthy and the sink wasnt much better. I feel the owners should have used lockdown as an opportunity to deep clean the whole place ready for reopening yet it seems like they have done the total opposite and sacked off cleaning altogether. It's such a shame as it's a great pub just the hygiene element let's it down massively.

Had a really lovely couple of drinks here. The beer was kept well (especially given the heat) and the bar staff were exceptionally well-versed and friendly. Really impressed and would come back time after time.

Heard great things about the beer and location and wasn't disappointed. Great selection of beers and a relaxed rustic atmosphere.
However when did it become ok to be serving someone and then start a conversation with a friend at the other end of the bar. I only ordered two drinks but you had forgotten the second by the time you broke off your conversation to actually continue to serve me.
You know who you are, you think "wowser" is an adult expression.

I don't go out much. I love beer but love my home more. Left luggage room is just such a gem, laid back, frequented by people with taste who just want a quiet beer. It always seems to be popular no matter what day I go on. I love the warmth and no frills atmosphere. You have beer, gin, whisky, wine, no messing around. Mismatched chairs, uneven tables, high quality, no fuss. I couldn't want want more or less from my local. Go, relax and drink excellent beer.
