Small but interesting

It is a small museum but packed with nostalgia. It has some great old motorbikes and a couple at the end that you can take a photo of, sitting on them. Worth an hour to visit.
Also, you can then go upstairs to see the history of the area

Upstairs relates to the history of the island, downstairs are lots of motorbikes. Something for everyone.

Well worth a visit - motorcycle enthusiast or not!

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in the Isle of Man and earlier today we visited Peel where - after going around The House of Mannanan (see separate Review) - we popped into the nearby Lecce Museum.

This is a much smaller concern with the ground floor dedicated to the famous TT Race and the first floor to the Island’s history. Both exhibits are interesting and well worth a visit.

Every time I go to Peel, this is top of my list. It's only small, but full of interesting exhibits. Staff brilliant.

I think it would be very easy to miss this little museum, but having seen it listed in a 'things to do' publication given to us at the airport we decided to seek it out whilst in Peel and we are so glad we did. It is a fascinating collection upstairs and mainly motorcycles and 'superbikes' downstairs. I was very interested to learn about the Isle of Man's role in giving votes to women and there was a very interesting collection of finds from the Manx Metal Detectorists, which I spent some time looking at. ( I know I'm not really selling it here am I ?) but my point is there is lots of things that may grab your attention. Entry is free and we made a donation before leaving, though this is not compulsory. If you are interested in the TT and its history then the bike section should be enough to please you. There's even a chance to sit on a couple of bikes for a photo opportunity. If you are in Peel you must visit.

Situated in an old courthouse this is a small but splendid collection of motor cycles and other artifacts. Great to wander around with volunteers on hand to assist if needed.

Very quirky museum.

More than motorcycles but quite a bizarre selection of exhibits showcasing local history. But free so an easy option.

Wonderful and free

Its a bit like a tardis - much bigger on the inside with lots of things to see. Whilst it is free it is worthy of a generous donation. Best part is the display of TT bikes. Don't miis it!!

Packed With History

Small and quiant, but loaded with history for race bluffs, and legendary machines right within reach. We were really impressed with both the race bikes downstairs, as well as the local history upstairs...seeing many items not found in the other museums.
