A great way to see the bay

Lovely historical experience and a great way to see the bay but it is a little smelly sometimes. Well worth taking the trip though.

The Douglas Bay Horse Drawn Trams have been operating since Victorian times and are delightful. They run the full length of the promenade and are a perfect start to reach the Manx Electric Railway. They were recently threatened with closure owing to operating costs; however, the Manx Government intervened and they have been given a two year reprieve

You can go up and down the promenade as often as you like. I was told that the horses love the work and only work a couple of hours a day. Excellent for children. Probably not that good on a cold and rainy day.

This just feels so nostalgic, even although it's from before I was born, it's the best way to get along Douglas promenade. And even if you aren't on board, the steady clop of hooves adds to the atmosphere that is seaside

We used this quite a lot even for the short journey from the ferry terminus to out hotel. Using the GO card made it a cheap and enjoyable way to travel.

Just come back from the Isle of Man, we used the horse trams on numerous occasions, also visited the stables a couple of times. All of our party enjoyed the experience. The horse trams also provide a very important link from the electric railway to the town centre.

What a lovely and fantastic experience that takes you along the 2 1/2 miles of Douglas Promenade. The trams are a real price of history in working order and pleasure to take a ride on. The trams will connect you the Electric trams and the Sea Terminal in Douglas.

Travel like they did in bygone days. It was great going up and down the prom by house drawn tram. Loved every minute of it, people are so nice and friendly.

It's as much a part of Douglas as the trams are to Blackpool. It's a pleasure to ride the Horse Tram and a pleasure to see/hear them on Douglas Promenade. Long may they survive!
