This is a modern well organised museum and its free! The history of the island is clearly laid out and explained. A good museum with something for all the family. There is also a café and gift shop. If you want to visit on a Sunday though, check first as it is not always open.

What a great afternoon, browsing around the exhibits, I learnt quite a lot regarding the 1st world war interns and also the Scottish invaders.! Some of the contemporary art - Phoebe - is also interesting and of course, the Joey Dunlop and TT stuff is good.

Great way to pass an hour or much more. Lots of displays with some very informative exhibits charting the history of the island. Greatly enjoyed the exhibit that allowed you to hear original manx language and loved the old black and white film showing holidays on the island from a by-gone age. The easiest way to get there is via... More

Bit of a strange place to get into, but so worth it. Its quite spellbinding . The displays are quite magnificent. I never realised before that the Isle of Man had an internment camp- so very enlightening. The videos shown were interesting. It was a free entry but so worth making a donation. Nice cafe for a pondering over a... More

The museum is free to enter. There is such a vast amount of things to see from art work, to old TT bikes to information on the internment camps that were on the isle in the first world war. I would recommend the museum to anyone although finding it wasn't easy at first. The on site cafe was good and... More
