Great Movies - shame about the parking fees and no food

Expensive, cold and filthy! It's a shame the bigger cinema on the Isle of Man can't provide a good service! The films and food are seriously overpriced. The place is filthy and it's absolutely freezing!

The Palace Cinema has had its day. Old and very dated. Often dirty from the previous screenings. Not enough screens, especially when a block buster is showing you can never get booked. Has been saved recently by the Telecom Two for Tuesday offer, but that's it !!! Let’s not even mention the toilet facilities, you can smell them when you... More

I never had a problem with this cinema over the years until some half-witted bean counter decided to charge cinema-goers to park cars in the Palace cinema car park. It's only £1 for the evening so it is not about the cost, but it's the hassle of having to find the right coin and then going back to the car... More

This sad cinema with its grey screen. No sharpness of definition poor sound with no rear or surround speakers working. Centre speakers for dialogue missing. And a pound for the cinema car park. terrible experience.

I arrived to watch legend with my girlfriend on Sunday night, the film was awesome no problems there. Now the large popcorn and large drink came to £9 how in actual fact can you charge prices like that. it's ridiculous especially when the popcorn wasn't even sweet, warm or crunchy it tasted stale like it had been sat there for... The staff are lovely but there is an unavoidable smell of damp in the auditorium. It is also very cold inside and popcorn is ver expensive. The screen and 3D glasses are excellent quality but physical experience of the audience needs to be addressed. Tickets are also very costly!

We're just back from watching The Hobbit. There are some films that have to be watched on the big screen but after being charged £17.00 to watch a 2D film at 3:50pm (should have started at 3:30 but Paddington Bear viewers made such a mess the Hobbit viewers were made to wait while staff cleaned up). I'm seriously going to... More

Not only is the online booking system broken at present, when I phone to book there is no answer until 15 mins after the movie has started. When us asked why no one answered the answer was, "we were a bit busy". The cinema is cold, more expensive than the UK, has poor seating, dismal customer service and is, on... More
