Well worth the trip to Laxey for Snaefell Mountain Railway or through to Ramsey. Slower than the bus but much more scenic

Highly recommend a trip on the Electric Railway - we had a 'Go Explorer' card so was really easy. Beautiful views & makes seeing the Isle easy.

We had a sunny day out on the electric train, tickets were a bit on higher side as compared to the distance covered, nice pubs on the train route to have a drink.

We took a trip from Douglas to Ramsey and back on a sunny Friday morning and mid-afternoon return. The scenery along the way is certainly a thing of sheer beauty. It's spectacular on a clear, warm summer's day. It's not too expensive either. Our return tickets were around the £25 mark. Be warned though: the trip up is very slow... More

Great scenery along the cliff tops from Ramsey to Douglas. Good service from the operators and inexpensive. It stops along the route and you are personally asked where you would like to stop - Cool! A very slow paced trundle to while away an hour.. Great

Decided to take the train to Ramsey from Douglas. Cost was £12.50 return which after the journey i thought was reasonable. It's a bit rickety but worth it for the amazing views.

Runs between Douglas and Ramsey mostly along the coastline. Many stops along the way including some of the most beautiful glens you will ever see. Also stops at the beautiful Laxey where you can change for the Snaefell Summit Railway
