Wasn't Expecting This in the Middle of a Busy Town

Lovely glen in the middle of Douglas/Onchan, quite hard to find as there are virtually no signs leading to it - Why? Even the entrance is very miss-able! As with all the Manx Glens, it is free. You would never have though you were in a busy town! Not accessible for wheelchairs and difficult for people with limited mobility. The... More

Visited out of season bit wet and needing some T L C. Should be good when lit up later in season. Good fun for the little ones.

Visited today 41 years on from my last visit. A magical little place with waterfalls and fairies. Might be a little difficult for anyone with mobility problems due to steep slopes a and steps

Wow what a find, noticed this was advertised in local paper but needed to ask directions as a little hard to find. But once found it was a lovely walk with our dog plus lovely light display (go once getting dusk to be able to see the light display fully) we loved all the fairy doors we found which had... More

I used to come here all the time when I was younger and still do the annual Christmas light walk through. It's seriously deteriorated with regards to the lighting themes and displays which is such a shame! Although it is good use of recycling but the bottle lights/hanging decorations look so tacky and messy!

this is still very uncared for , when we entered there was a man in a sleeping bag asleep on a bench . its a pity, it could be a nice place with a clear out and tidy up . the trees were alive with bird song . as we went down the hill to the tiny garden on the... More

Lovely place to walk through, although the weather had been slightly wet, it wasn't too muddy. We entered at Governors Bridge entrance and followed the path downwards. There are streams and bridges, lots of forks in the pathways so just take a chance! We found sculptures and a waterfall, there are lots of lights so I imagine it would be... More

Although this is lit up at night, some of the lights did not seem to come on. we visited at dusk and some were on and were very attractive, we went back later when it was truly dark and the others were still not on and it felt a bit dodgy walking in the dark parts, so be careful.
