Lovely building that used to be an old school. As libraries go this is an excellently well stocked library.

Well stocked, most helpful Librarians on earth!

I have been using this Library extensively for some years. Very well stocked. The Librarians are extremely helpful in advising and ordering what is not on the shelves.
The library is an important cog in the Holywood lifestyle.

Gorgeous building in the heart of Holywood

This library is very popular amongst locals and visitors alike. The library is situated in an old Church building in the centre of Holywood town and is always thriving with people.

All encompasing experience for all generations

This wonderful historic building in the centre of Holywood provides something for all ages. A brilliant childrens section with story time in the morning, internet access, wide range of books including audio and large print books, photocopying facility and exceptionally helpful staff. Car-parking is also available behind the building for users.

My local branch. I've always found the staff to be very helpful. Reasonable selection of books given the financial situation.

Small but adequate
Nov 2015 • Couples
Holywood is a small town and the library is a very big part of the community. Open to everyone. It's not just books and computers but it's a lifeline to some elderly people it's warm and welcoming and ideal for those who do not want or do not have money to buy papers and magazines on a regular basis. I have always found the staff friendly and very approachable. Hopefully it will always be there for everyone.

Lovely Old Building.

I called here recently with my daughter and found it to have a good variety of books and seating. The staff were accommodating, the older lady librarian was friendly. I would call in again any time I was in Holywood. There was plenty of information in a variety of formats. My teenage daughter enjoyed the workshop she attended there on comic design. It is a lovely old building.

Friendlier year ago
Jan 2015 • Solo
There were several computers with no chairs. The staff all seemed to be busy talking to people, but eventually I was able to ask a librarian "are there any chairs?" Someone else found a coloured chair for me to sit and do my work. Another visitor was near me and talking on her mobile and swearing loudly, it was unbearable. Nobody said a thing to her. I was amazed at her state of aggravation. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. It wasn't a particularly cozy library to visit. I remember it from years ago, and it was much friendlier then, with artworks on the walls.
