Grand golf club with the course to match
Jul 2019
Awesome day out. We came from London and this was our first course of the trip. We really were impressed not only with the course condition and layout but also the clubhouse and staff. We were made to feel very welcome as visitors by staff and members which is a nice change from the high end English equivalents. Value for money was good on all fronts, this will be the first course on the list when we return to the country.

My son and I played Royal Belfast and found the course to be in great shape. The clubhouse is beautiful and the staff professional and friendly. We had a great time talking to the members who wanted to know about our travels in Ireland (we’re Americans) and courses we played.

Nice views, very hilly but an accommodating club.

Course and clubhouse with old world charm and class.

My personal favourite on this golf tour of N.Ireland. The quality of the greens and the course in general was exceptional. Excellent value for money. Lunch or dinner in the clubhouse is definitely recommended.

Old grumpy club

The course is a little special but nevertheless very interesting and with different hurdles and difficult lays (up and down).
Funny thing was even if I had tailored shorts clean shoes and black socks, I had to buy white ones even if it looked rather ugly.
The club house is not open for guests except if you have a tie and jacket with you, which I always have in my bag.
Please this times are gone, behave normal, you have a nice golf course.

A round of golf at royal Belfast is a must .

We had the good fortune to play it this month. Although it was raining heavily the course held up very well with the greens being some of the best I’ve played on . Very helpful pro shop with a good selection of goods to buy or hire at very reasonable prices.
I am already planning to go back next summer and play it again

We went to check out the Pro Shop as we didn't have time to play a round. While there we ate lunch. The scenery is fantastic. The food was very good. This course dates from mid 1800's and is the oldest in Belfast.

Many thanks and appreciation to Andrew, Jeremy, and the 2 fine gentlemen long time members we met upon arrival in Northern Ireland at RBGC. The genuine courtesy and welcome to such a fine golf course unparalleled.
Amenities: New Taylor Made Clubs, full sets 4
Fairways: True and dangerous outside first cut
Greens: Fast, firm, and well managed; if you can putt!

Weather: full sun; mild to mod wind; dry and gorgeous!
If you must ride, you miss the essence of the course; water a must.....this course will give you all so you need to bring it.
Oh, the turn at 9-10 is not a rest stop.......

Possibly the nicest setting for a wedding ever and definitely the very best shortbread that i have ever tasted.
The royal belfast is an elegant yet beautiful venue, the staff very helpful and the food fantastic. The bar also has a great selection of gin s, over 20 bottles and a menu with suggestions of what to have with the gin. Despite its elegance i was pleasantly supprised to find the bar prices also good value.
