I first walked inside Victoria Park about twenty years ago, whilst I attended a service in Paignton. It has been a place where I had been able to participate in outdoor sports. It has lovely scenery, and near the railway line to Paignton.
I used to walk through there to the library before a new one was built about ten years ago, and old one was soon demolished with a new building of homes put in its place. I remember seeing the pond iced over in the winter of 2010. I also walked through more recently, on Wednesday 19th May 2021, during the ease out of the Covid-19 lockdown.

We enjoyed a couple of hours in the park - the play area was clean and tidy as was the whole park. The only disappointment was with the patrons who seemed to think that it was acceptable behaviour to allow their dogs to chase the ducks and swans that were on the water. Thankfully, the swans weren't having any of it and the dogs ended up running away scared!

This was at one point a lovely park in the middle of Paignton; however I feel over recent years it has become more scruffy and less well cared for. It is still OK for the children as there is a good play area and plenty of green space; although the skate park is ugly and the pond is nowhere near as nice as it was with now only seagulls to be seen. I wouldn't head through here at night either as people have been mugged. OK during the day.

My kids loved the ramps at this park and wanted to go everyday. Plenty of room for loads of scooters, skateboards and BMXs. Lots of benches around the lovely pond. Really close to beach too. Lovely.

I am local so I pass through Victoria Park several times a week. There are some times of the day when this is a very pleasant experience and times when it isn't. There are good facilities for teenagers with a skate park but they tend to abuse it by leaving lots of litter around (more bins maybe?), the childrens play area is also alright. The place has lots of potential with the pond and stream but isn't very well cared for it seems - upturned trolleys in the pond a regular feature! As a local park it does the job but more pride should be taken of it.

Not up to the standard it once was, this large park is run down in places. The place is getting a reputation for late night muggings too and the police are warning foreign students to stay away in the evening.

It is good in the day when it is light with friends when you go out into town. However when it is dark recommend don't go because not very nice people are there. But it is good for families with small children but it can be for everyone

Am reviewing the skate/scooter park area - my son regularly uses it and really enjoys it. Sometimes full of older teenagers so bad language etc can be a problem, hence only average score. In spring summer this is a nice little outdoor cafe area attached to the play area - the play area is very good for about up to 8 years old.

A green gem in the centre of town, the park has a kiddie's play area and snack bar on one side of the pleasantly planted stream, and a large skate board area close to the pond which is surrounded by mature trees and colourful flower beds. A short walk under the railway bridge takes you past the 'quiet' part of the park with a feature planted area at one end to the Green and seafront. A favourite walk of ours at any time of year.

Can you book a tennis court in Victoria Park, or just turn up and play? Are they in reasonable condition?
