Money well spent. Lovely little railway, friendly staff. Great fun for everyone. Two stops at the walled garden and terminus.

This miniature railway is beautiful. It's ideal for couples and young families. It is £1 per person and free for children under 2. The men that run it are really nice and helpful. The country park it is situated in is also beautiful with plenty to do. Large car park - pay on exit. Cafe, childrens swings, slides, rides (rides are £1 per token) and even on a busy day the park is large enough to enjoy. A definite must go to.

We waited for the train for a while, me and my daughter, when it pulled in, no one got off so we couldn't get on! So we thought we would wait again and surely this time people would get off and allow us to get on. But NO ONE did, it should be £1 per ride, not £1 and go round as many times as you want, so we had stood in the freezing cold for ages for nothing! We wont be trying to go on this again next time, there should be new rules put in place for this train as I had a very disappointed 7 year old.

We went for a few hours during the Easter hols with my 2 sons and dog. We were all £1 each and the dog was free. The man who was collecting the fare was pleasant and polite. He advised us if the dog jumps out to let him go and they will stop the train to get him back as someone had dragged there poor dog along once. We have a pug so he sat nicely on my knee, altho he was a bit jumpy at the train whistle. Absolutely worth doing as you can stay on and do a round trip. You can get off at the other stop near the hall. The gentlemen who run the railway take great care making sure everyone is clear and checks before setting off. We will be doing this everytime we visit now.
