Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We travelled 40 minutes to get here as it’s the only one near our area. We then went back the next day as my niece enjoyed it so much. My niece had no experience of skating but it was a safe place for her to learn. All the other skaters were friendly, we kept hearing that phones and jewellery had been handed in (the dj announced this) I just thought that was so nice that everyone was looking out for each other. I had some chips from the cafe which were nice and the lady in here was lovely too. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Went here last year with friends and it was brilliant fun. Not done skating since I was really young but it was so cool and everyone super friendly!

We attended as a one off in October and to say my kids are hooked is an understatement. They all got skates for Christmas and I feel like we've never been away this Xmas holidays! The venue is great, a lovely atmosphere for young and old. Even our youngest age 3 is gaining in confidence. 7 year old and 12 year old both love it and have also attended one of the lessons now which they also enjoyed. Myself and my Husband also went on the rink and got lots of hints and tips from the Marshall's and what appeared to be regular skaters, it was very welcoming to all abilities, so don't worry about turning up and being laughed at if you haven't skated for years! In an age of gadgets and devices it's a wonderful thing for the whole family to do together. Only tip I'd say is our youngest 3 year old wore ear defenders the first couple of times because he was unsure about the volume of the music (absolute classic songs by the way!), but now having gone a number of times is used to it being so loud and doesn't wear them, just something to be mindful of for the very young or those with additional needs, the music is fab but loud! 7 year olds birthday is in march and I have strict orders to book him a skate party asap!

We've visited the roller rink several times now and have always really enjoyed our visit. Great value for money (entrance and prices in the cafe). The staff are all so helpful and friendly and always seem to go out of their way to help beginners. Also very helpful when my daughter fell over. This is a place I can see we will continue to visit for many years - a great activity for all ages.

Took our youth group here and was great fun. Ridiculously cheap entry and skate hire.

Looks like some of the locals must come very regularly. They’re fun to watch dashing around, and competing in time trials while we briefly had to vacate the rink.

Staff were all friendly, visible on the floor and looking out for everyone.

Would definitely go back as a family or to take a group of teenagers out. Plenty of younger kids there too,

This is a fantastic place to take the kids for a family activity that will burn calories, have everyone giggling and most importantly is a safe place for the kids to hang out with friends. It’s great to see teens being active and socialising in a positive way, off the streets and keeping fit.

My kids love the games the organisers arrange for everyone to to play on skates - bulldog is their favourite!

The food is burger & chips type food or chocolate snacks.

There is a bar serving alcohol with TV and comfy chairs if you don’t want to skate but wish to remain on site. The drinks/alcohol are cheap too!

Well recommended!! Friday nights are great. Starts at 7pm till 10.30pm

We’ve been a couple of times and my kids love it. Cheap afternoon activity and gets the kids off technology and back to good old fashion fun.

I’ve also been with a group of friends and enjoyed an adult only evening.

The music is awesome (loud) but fitting for the venue. We turned up at 2pm and finished at 4ish when some of the more regulars got to show us some of their talents and speed. Put us to shame after thinking it comes back to you like riding a bike !

Plenty of room for new comers and experienced skaters. You can choose either boots or blades and the marshals are keen to offer guidance and hints on mastering the skills to make you more confident.

Fun fun fun and don’t forget your leg warmers

As a family we have lessons here every week. Instructors are endlessly patient and kind, and you are made welcome whatever your age. I was nervous being an adult complete beginner but I've had such fun. Price very reasonable compared to any other hobby or sport. Staff in shop very helpful too.
Avoid Friday nights as its teen night, but they have adults only nights and kids disco events.
It looks and feels very retro so don't be expecting posh surroundings, but you can get a slush for a pound, which my young son thinks is amazing!
