I expectantly stumbled on this. Really nice building, great piece of history well preserved. Really worth a look. Café upstairs is worth stopping by, does a great bacon butty.

We loved looking around the old market indoors. Lots of lovely stalls and the best part was the cafe upstairs. The food was outstanding.and very reasonable price too. We have the fish and chips and it was superb. Hubby had the apple pie and he said it was wonderful! Its well worth a visit if you go to Durham

Well worth a nostalgic... More

This is a very quaint place with lots of independent market stalls, a café and toilet facilities. Well worth a look if you are in the nearby market square. the place is clean and the products on sale are at a reasonable price.
