Small and clean. Nothing more, nothing less that you would expect from such a place. Some household items and food.

From the brochures and website we were expecting some great local craft and food stores highlighting the Durham area but sadly it was a cheap flea market style. A quick walk through and we exited really disappointed. The monthly farmers market was on out the front and it was better but really only 4-5 stores (cheese, brownies, meats) I would... More

Brilliant craft stall, Crafty Nook, just inside the main entrance. Susan, the owner has a brilliant depth of knowledge and obviously loves what she does. Always smiling and ready to help, a real asset to an excellent market. The second hand book seller also always has a great selection

Prior to our planned visit to Durham my wife had worked out an itinerary for the day, as she always does when we visit somewhere new, and high on our list was this market. We were only in it about 3 minutes before she had made her first purchase, I kid you not! After about half an hour she had... More

This is a good indoor market. There's a stall for everyone and mine is the hand made shoe stall in the bottom left hand corner. They ain't cheap, but they'll last a lifetime. There's books, guitars, ribbons, local produce, a tea room upstairs, birthday cards, hardware, antiques, fish, watches, sports trophies, a tobacco shop and toys. There's a lot more.... More

I expectantly stumbled on this. Really nice building, great piece of history well preserved. Really worth a look. Café upstairs is worth stopping by, does a great bacon butty.
