We got married recently at crook hall and gardens. What an absolutely stunning venue. What I will say is our wedding was the picture book fairytale we had imagined but what I will also say is it was made that way because of our dedication and persistence. We had a meeting with the wedding team in the lead up to... More

We didn't know what to expect but where enchanted by these gorgeous gardens. I could have spent all day here as the weather was lovely (which always helps). It takes around 60 - 90 mins to see the complete gardens and Hall but a lot longer if you are to fully appreciate it. Well worth a visit on a nice... More

I booked with friends to have sparkling afternoon tea at Crookhall hoping that the weather would be nice enough to sit outside. Each afternoon tea table was set up in a different garden so you pretty much had a whole garden to yourself! The service was excellent and the food was definitely one of the best I've had, I can't... Visited as part of a belated Father's Day treat i.e. gentleman's cream tea. Gorgeous garden setting and we were seated under a gazebo which was very pleasant during a very hot day. The gents tea was unlike the usual with more of a masculine theme with lager, scotch egg, ploughmans and a yorkie bar as well as LARGE cakes and... More

I visit for coffee, lunch or afternoon tea at the excellent gate side coffee shop which is run by friendly and helpful staff. I have also visited for themed days and the last was run on a fairy tale theme. My friend and I with her five year old really enjoyed the day where we encountered characters in costume in... More

The old manor house and gardens are worth a visit, lots of character. The food from the cafe was very good - rocky road was amazing. Drinks were good. They do an afternoon tea that sounds delicious.

Great gardens with a variety of styles. The house is also a fascinating mix of eras, mediaeval, Jacobean and Georgian.

Visited the property in a wheelchair. Although there were some doubts about whether we would be able to manage, we decided to have a go. The gardens are beautiful, with many interesting things to find , but I wouldn't recommend trying it in a wheelchair. Steps and uneven paths, which add to the interest make wheelchair access difficult. I tried... More
