Well worth a visit

Gorgeous house. Really interesting collections. It felt really homely. Unusual to get go walk on the rugs usually roped off.

Arlington is approached through a woodland walk which slowly reveals the house and front lawn making the most of the view. We started at the small tea shop which doesn't offer any breakfast or brunch option and only starts offering food at midday. We had two good National Trust sandwiches and tea. Refreshed, we set off into the gardens. We... More

Our day here started in the entrance where the staff were knowledgable and welcoming. We visited the tea room for coffee and there was a varied choice of snacks and larger meals. A buggy service was operating to take you around the grounds and to the museum. The driver was more than helpful and we felt quite spoilt as he... More

We spent a day here and had a great time. The price is comparable to other similar properties and offers similar attractions; house, walled gardens, tea room, parkland etc. Tea shop was a little pricey and mug of soup at £5 or the Brie and bacon panini at £6.50 is overpriced. Unfortunately when we went there were also 2 coaches... More

Arlington Court is a truly delightful place to visit. NT so members get free entry, the house is very impressive and the ship models are fabulous. The gardens are breathtaking and the carriage museum is superb, loads of history and plenty to do. A mention for the cafe as well, simply great.

Definitely one of the best things my husband and I have ever done is get a National Trust membership and we've yet to be disappointed with any of the places we've visited. Arlington Court wasn't as flashy a house as some that we've been to, but the interior had some incredible surprises. The carriage museum was another treat. Especially seeing... More

Called in yesterday whilst in the area. Free entry and parking as NT members. Nice gardens, impressive house with loads of history and collections. Carriage Museum gives a fascinating insight into transport before the motor car. Clean facilities and a busy cafe should you need a refreshing cuppa.
