Went to watch an audience with Leslie Garrett She was absolutely brilliant and the theatre in the round made her performance so much better as she communicated with her audience.
I had a pre show meal which was very good and the Service by Will was first class.
Just a point for future bookings. if you require a disabled parking space you need to book one in advance

This was our first visit to the theatre since the last Christmas production. The theatre felt safe with all wearing masks and lots of hand sanitizer. Have to say the Beauty and The Beast production was fantastic. The team of actors were great. Well done to all involved. Looking forward to next year’s production already.

Took 10 Yr old son and 18 Yr old daughter to watch Beauty and The Beast this afternoon and it was excellent. I was wondering how on earth it would 'work' without the traditional stage and scenery set up as never been to theatre in the round before, it was very cleverly done. Even the 10 Yr old who didn't want to be dragged off his x box said it was brilliant! Will definitely return.

Went to see the comedy version of this Buchan/Hitchcock thriller, not sure what to expect having read the novel and watched various films of the same name.I can assure anyone who goes and I encourage them to do so will enjoy an excellent adaptation, only four cast members, but superb from start to finish. It is an advantage of you know the story so that you can enjoy the comedy, the timing of the cast cannot be faulted, neither can their corpsing and interaction with the audience.Nice link Robert Powell who spent time at the New Vic at the early part of his career, took on the role of Richard Hannah in one of the later 39 steps films

I went to see The Prince and The Pauper. It was a great show. This was my third visit to the New Vic. It’s a great theatre. Everyone gets a great view and, as it is in the round, you feel part of the action on stage.

The performance given last night by Eric and his crew was exceptional. It really lifted my soul to see and hear live music again after such a long period of Covid lockdown. Well done to the performers and to the theatre.

Came here for coffee this morning and just had to come back for lunch after our walk. The lovely young gentleman that seated us at our table was very polite. We would definitely come back more often if he was there in the restaurant all the time! Keep up the great work!

Not at all what you would expect from having read the book and seen the movie but wow!
The staging was great, comic timing excellent , sounds all spot on . Humorous and a delight to be present at.
One of the best performances we have ever seen at any theatre.
Well done lady and gents, standing ovation .

I never write reviews unless they are bad. But I had to come on here to just praise the New Vic Theatre . As I said in my title this place is excellent ! You need to visit it !
The booking system is fantastic .... You get to speak to the people at the venue and not some ticketmaster person ripping you off. The staff ,in my years of visiting do all they can to accommodate you and find you tickets etc. The theatre have done all they can to make tickets accessible to all with their pricing structures and offers . Reduced rates for disabled, free for carers, free and reduced tickets for under 26 , first night and four people offers , massively reduced rates for those on benefits . This theatre really has gone out of its way to make theatre visits accessible to all.
It has a massive range of diversity as to what is on and i can not praise this place enough.
Well done vic theatre ! You are fabulous!
Just to add , watched 'The Borrowers' last night . Best thing I have seen in 44 years !
