We spent four days in Weymouth, and only located the TIC as we were leaving! All the signs (poor) indicate an empty building on the seafront. Later we found a signed/labelled building near the shopping centre and library - but it was not open; and it was only then that a very helpful gentleman told us that the TIC had moved just before Christmas to a new location; and he described how to get there. To find it, you look for a shop with numerous A4 posters in the window - advertising holidays elsewhere in the UK or abroad! Once inside, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Incidentally, the location shown on Tripadvisor is the one vacated just before Christmas - and I think the address given above is incorrect as well (Colwell Shopping Centre)

Recently my wife and I stayed for a few days at the Royal Hotel on the front in Weymouth. The hotel has no parking of its own but suggested that we park on the Royal Yard car park around the back of the hotel so we duly went to the car park after dropping off our luggage at the hotel only to find it full but we managed to park in a free short time bay immediately behind the hotel. As we sat in the car wondering where we could park , I didn't want to use the car for the duration of our stay, a Traffic warden came by checking the cars on the Royal yard carpark so I went over to her and explained our predicament. As we spoke a car left the car park and she offered to help us acquire the vacant lot and even signed my parking tickets with her name, Amanda ,and number,48, redirected another motorist who was about to park in our space to occupy our short term space we about to vacate as they only wanted short term. Please extend our most grateful thanks to her in considerably reducing the stress in an otherwise excellent stay in Weymouth.

We were impressed by this centre and its staff and they answered all the questions we had about how best to spend our day in lovely Weymouth.
It was easy enough to find, in the town not far from the King George III statue.

spent 2hrs as an independent wheelchair traveller in weymouth i trundled about the main streets and back streets looking for that welcoming blue and white wheelchair sign but all i could see was an everest of steps and no access i even went down by the railway station and still could not find any accommodation so i looked for the information centre and could not find that either nor could i find any signs above or at wheelchair level to indicate where it might be located so i decided to have lunch at a pleasant chinese restaurant decided that weymouth was not for the independant wheelchair user and went to poole instead

Very little information available, but the town map was free. It is in the Pavilion where the staff were more concerned with selling tickets for shows.

The council's efforts to get an information centre into Weymouth shopping centre has failed again! But do make the effort to visit the information centre (run by volunteers) in Weymouth Pavilion. It's still there and very knowledgeable. What an impressive place the Pavilion is, now that it's run independently as a charity.

The Information Centre is close to the King's Statue, so very handy for people coming in by bus. I asked if they had a free map of Bournemouth, and one was found for me. The man and lady on duty were pleasant. I was asked if I wanted to try the café upstairs, but I had to decline as I was in a rush. Also, I am disabled so was unsure about the steps.
