Always call in when in Weymouth area. Our 2 young grandsons (6 and 4) were invited to go pond-dipping which they really enjoyed. We just love the tranquility of a walk around the Lake-usually interrupted by the cetti's warblers.

Pleanty of birds to view and in particular the marsh harriers. The RSPB building was quite small but did serve a small selection of food and drinks. The volunteers manning the Reserve were most attentive and helpful

If you are a bird watcher, or just like a walk this is a lovely area. Weather was not all that good while there, but did keep dry. Very helpful staff at the RSPB observation hut.

Called into the Café to use the toilets and chatted to the gentleman on the desk, he explained what birds could be seen and told us about the workings of the RSPCB.

Didn't get there as we stayed in snowy Weymouth this time, but have been in the past, many times during month-long stays on Overcombe Drive.

Lovely walk around this lake. Well looked after lake. Pathways were well maintained even though weather was wet. Plenty of room to park. Worth a visit if visiting Weymouth for any birdwatcher, as you never know what you might see!!!

Thank you, the car park is free from 6pm. It is a council run car park. The RSPB Discovery Centre closes at 5pm. Happy Bat hunting!

Not really suitable for mobility scooters as some of the surfaces are uneven due to the nature of the location. Dogs are not recommended in any nature reserve as birds are sensitive to noise and many nest close to the... More
