The gardens have recently been taken over by younger members of the Bennett family who have injected new life into the business. A few years ago a new restaurant was built on the property and they applied for, and received a wedding license. There is a Monet bridge spanning one of the lakes which is marvelous photo opportunity for weddings... More

Shady spots with nice breeze on day I visited. Great photograph opportunities. Monet bridge replica. Pleasure to be there. Clean and neat everywhere. Loved cream tea sitting outside with view of ponds.

The Monet bridge and pond are lovely, and it's a lot cheaper than a trip to Giverny! It's not huge, but there are lots of places to sit and enjoy the waterlilies, and... More

The day we went it was it raining but we still had a great day. The gardens were just as lovely even if the sun did not show its self. They also have a lovely cafe where you can get a light lunch, yummy cakes and hot and cold drinks.

My wife and I are keen photographers and have been previously to this garden. We LOVE the peace, tranquility, dragon flies, the water Lillies etc BUT today we visited and although we had coffee first then returned for lunch, the food was okay BUT was lacking in athmosphere, more could have been done to make a pleseant surrounding welcoming, maybe... I've lived in Weymouth for over 25 years and although I'd been to the cafe a couple of times I'd never been into the actual gardens. There is a museum too which gives the history and origins. In 1978 old clay pits were converted into ponds and since then the gardens have developed and grown. The lilies are so pretty... More
