Nice old church

It is situated at the middle of the town so easy to find. During our visit there were a few other visitors. Similar to other old churches you can find a lot history related to it. Worth to visit.

Lovely old church, steeped in history. I popped in twice and noticed so many more things on the second visit.

Beautiful historic church

Beautiful church at bottom of the main street in Appleby and has lots of history. Grounds lovely as is inside the church. So happy there were little candles available to light for passed loved ones and an area to sit in peace to pray. Box for donations at the rear to pay for candles and plants. Really happy it was open to pop in for little while. Thanks.

St Lawrence's Church has prominence in Appleby's lovely market town. It's beautiful building and history is fascinating and educational for visitors. Well worth a visit if you are in Appleby.

Fascinating relics of Appleby's history

A pretty church and inside two interesting tombs of people who had been important in the town long ago. The display relating to the crypt and the stome with lifting fixings (photo) were fascinating.

Small but interesting Church with a useful leaflet pointing out the points of interest - especially loved the carvings in the pews and the gargoyles which for once weren't ugly!

Lovely old Church.

The building was under-going interior renovations at the time of our visit but that did not interfer with our walk-round of a beautiful place.
