We booked the trip through their facebook page which was incredibly easy ,with really good communication from Ben who is the lovely young man that deals with the hire.
We hired 3 x 3 man boats, one for two adults, and the other 2 boats for 2 adults and 2 children..It cost £50 for half a day and £50 deposit per boat which is well worth is as we were sailing from 1.30 to 5pm. Ben asks you to arrive 30 mins prior so he can explain how the boat works and give a safety talk, Life jackets are provided.
The river was so calm and peaceful but there was a lot of weeds towards the end so we moored up for a picnic then made out way back.
A very enjoyable day for children and adults alike. We will be doing it again.

Hired a boat on the 14th August, we hadn’t booked just popped by on the off chance. This wasn’t a problem and Ben the lovely guy who works there had the motorboat ready in half hour. This was our first time out on a river or in fact a boat. We booked for 3 hours @ £60 with a £50 deposit.
After a good introduction we were left to our own devises. You can only travel to a certain point in the river which was reassuring for us as first timers. We took a picnic and drinks but didn’t manage to stop off so just sat in the boat. Life jackets with whistle’s are provided as well as the phone number on the inside of the boat. Be sure to ring in advance as instructed by Ben before you get back so he can help you out of the boat. This we did not do and looked like something out of a carry on movie trying to get the boat back. This actually makes us all giggle and we have brilliant memories of our first time boating.

Brilliant day on a lovely stretch of peaceful river. Lots of nature and fun things for the kids to spot along the way. We did a half day tour with about 1hr15 ride up to a dead end, lovely place to tie up the boat and have a picnic. We did a little fishing there it was great fun. We spent around 1 hour there then set off back. It was absolutely scorching on the way back, i advise to take plenty of water/drinks as its a long way back for little ones. We paid more attention to the water on the way back as it was low tide and the weeds were quite bad, we had to pay attention to the boat being directly in the middle of the river. It paid off as we saw a big snake swimming across the river which was brilliant, my daughter thought it was great and talked about it all day.

After we returned the boat we popped into the put across the bridge which has a huge field for kids to play and plenty of benches. It also has ice-cream parlour which is open sundays. Pretty expensive there though but great way to end the day.

We very much enjoyed our half day hire with Beverley Boat Hire. Despite being experienced leisure boaters, this was our first opportunity on the River Hull.

The rental experience was painless, with a friendly greeting, explanation and handover of the boat plus outboard. One thing we didn't expect was that Beverley Boat Hire is a cash-only operation, so we recommend being prepared for this. Prices are on the website.

The boat we rented was very tidy and clean, with a reasonable power of outboard for the size of the boat, meaning progress was relatively quiet. (A lot of boat rental organisations fit the smallest they can get away with to minimise any damage, which means the outboards are running flat out and therefore very noisy.) One suggestion for improvement might be to supply some waterproof cushions as an option, since the seats are not padded at all.

The Hull itself is tidal, but this caused no problems at all. Upstream of Tickton is very tranquil, mostly with reedy banks and the occasional farmhouse and moored boat to be seen. There were plenty of birds, and we spotted a Kingfisher twice.

Bring whatever food and drink you might require, since we didn't spot anywhere to stop to get anything like that. Also, there is no shade on the boat, so sunscreen is sensible: even on cloudy days, with fair skin, it's easy to get burnt on the water.

Overall, a lovely afternoon on the river. Recommended for nature and water lovers.

Unfortunately the costs of taking cards would add a significant amount to each hire, we have this under review and are looking for a more effective way to take cards. Unfortunately the merchants services operator fees are high on a small volume of business such as ours, we prefer to offer value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon on the river yesterday. (22nd October) I didn`t know there was such an exquisite stretch of the river Hull! We went as far as the lock. Considering the time of year, it was extremely pleasant especially when the sun was out. The boat was excellent and we spotted the following –

Little Grebe, Cormorant, Heron, Little Egret, Kingfisher, Swans, Buzzard, Reed Warbler and several others along with fish jumping out of the water!

Many thanks from a very satisfied customer. We will be back next summer!

We have just spent a delightful hour, taking in the wildlife and relaxing surroundings of the River Hull in one of Beverley Boat Hire's motor boats. Jeremy is very accommodating and welcoming even to novices such as ourselves. We were only out for an hour but managed to see dragonflies, a heron and some moorhens all in the lovely September sunshine. A fantastic relaxing afternoon which we will definitely be repeating.

Having done most things in our area to entertain our early teen grandchildren, came across Beverley boats, what a find! We hired a motor boat for 3.5 hours on a clear fine afternoon, loaded up a picnic, and after an excellent briefing from Jeremy, set off. 3.5 hrs flew by, apart from a short stop for picnic at the top lock, we didn't stop, and everybody got to be helmsman! It was peaceful, tranquil, fun, and utterly absorbing. Both grandchildren declared it a great day out.

Me and my friends originally booked our trip for a day out on a 4 man boat. We arrived and found out on the facebook page that it was closed for the day. Even though we were a bit confused, we were quite happy to come back another day, but the man phoned early the next day and gave us a 6 man boat for free and he was very apologetic. We couldn't have been any happier and had a great day out. Couldn't thank the owners enough and will defiantly be back with a picnic.

Our family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) hired 2 boats for 2 hrs and had great fun in Jeremy's boats. He gave us a good safety and 'how to start the engine/steer' talk and we were all fitted out in very clean, good condition life jackets. I had good communication with Jeremy beforehand and he promptly responds to FB Messenger queries.
One of our group was new to motor boats/engines/steering but soon got the hang of it, much to the delight and relief of his young family.
A lot of laughs and very reasonably priced entertainment on a breezy but sunny day.
