Fell into this museum by accident during a stroll around Chippenham. Very good on local history and the development of the town. Just what you want as an introduction to a new place as this was for us. Helpful attendants.

Went here for a good few hours with my wife, interesting to learn about the local history which is their main focus. Quite a few interactive displays as well which is fun

An excellent portrayal of the town's history . The volunteers were friendly and well informed.
The street montages in the upstairs rooms with the photos and information on shops and trades of earlier days was particularly well done and interesting.
