For my 80th birthday I was given a voucher for a skid pan experience. I have to admit it took me the best part of a year to book the course. When I arrived, confidence boosted by my husband, I found I was most definitely way older than most participants. However,I was put at ease by the two instructors and the experience was great fun and I wasn’t made to feel foolish at all. This course is, as they tell you, 75% fun and 25% learning. After the time there you are able to control a skid and they also cover abs braking. I would certainly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in driving and I will be giving a voucher to my granddaughter soon. Well worth the cost and the effort,

I got this experience for my partner who was nervous about driving on ice and snow (she’s from South Africa so they don’t get much there). I wanted to have a go too, as it looked like fun.
We were both slightly apprehensive but Martyn and Scott put us at ease with their professionalism and good humour. We found that it’s harder than you think to control a skid even at 20mph, but by the end of the session we were confidently using our new found skills to steer both front wheel drive and rear wheel drive cars around the course. There was a theory session on cadence braking and the abs system and practical demonstration/ practice on both. The brake/ off brake/ steer round cone/ brake exercise was enlightening! No cones (aka Miss Miggins) were harmed during this 😂.
The timed laps at the end of the session certainly showed who could listen to instructions, and those who couldn’t!
Between us we managed to get 3rd and 5th places out of 11 on our course. Thanks guys for a fantastic afternoon, well worth the money.

What a brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning! My son (aged 20) and I (a wee bit older!) had a great time with Scott at the skid pan. Firstly, a massive thank you to Scott for being so positive, knowledgeable and clear with the tutelage, and for showing a great deal of patience and humour! Secondly, a big thank you to the "backroom" team for accommodating our booking needs, which were not entirely straightforward.
Finally, if anyone is reading this wondering whether to have a go, definitely have a go! I laughed a lot, I learned a lot and can't recommend this place highly enough. We had an absolute blast driving a front wheel drive and a rear wheel drive around the track utilising our newly learned skills as best we could in a completely safe environment. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Wow!

We booked a family karting experience for ourselves and two Grandsons, we were warmly welcomed when we arrived and was given all the safety equipment.
We were introduced to Luke Cooper who was fantastic from the outset.
Luke explained everything in clear detail. we had lots of track time and a great family race at the end
Luke was attentive at all times giving us tips on how to improve our driving throughout
We will definitely be going again.

Attended the skid pan event with my son as part of an employees club event subsidized by our company. Our 2 instructors for the afternoon were Martyn and Scott. The whole event was very relaxed but also extremely informative. We drove from and rear wheel drive cars - initially without any coaching or advice - obviously with us spinning the cars regularly. We then spent a little time in the room with the instructor running through howe to manage a skid for both vehicles. We then had the opportunity to put theory into practice - and it worked (mostly :-)). A very enjoyable and instructive afternoon with a lot of laughing along the way.

What a fab way to spend an afternoon. The event was well organised, it was run by Scott and Martyn on the day that I went and they taught us how to handle the cars effectively and with good humour!
It was a lot of fun coupled with learning how to remain safe in a skid situation. Thankyou guys.

Great for a team building day! The staff we're very helpful getting us suited and booted and the racing was simply amazing.
The high speeds definitely got the competitive edge on show for some people but the way the races were organised meant that everyone got to compete against people their speed.
A good day out for all.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Martyn for a brilliant morning on the skid pan. It was a life long dream-come-true and Martyn's sense of humour, driving skills and professionalism were just brilliant. His teaching style is just the right balance between ensuring total safety and having wonderful fun.

from booking the experience to attending the course the service was great. I booked the course for my 2 sons and they not only had a really enjoyable time they also learnt a lot as well which as new drivers is vital for them as the weather changes. As spectators we were made to feel very welcome and the information presented was pitched perfectly with enough technical stuff but said in a way everyone can relate to and understand. The instructors Martyn and Scott made the practical sessions fun and were o hand to give lots of tips and advice. I would highly recommend this course to all drivers.

Had a great time! Course was a perfect level of difficulty, with it starting out relatively easy so you can get used to (and trust!) the car, then grows with small challenges like hill climbs, hill falls (forwards and backwards), driving on an angle and many more.
Big thank you to our instructor, Andy, who was excellent at guiding us when needed, and letting us try it for ourselves when we were more comfortable.
Would recommend to all :)
