Impossible to find
Sep 2020
We drove around for 30 minutes and could not find this place. Asked 6 people where this place was and no one had heard of it. Disappointing.

Love this place so many choices
Nov 2019
This is a treasure chest of things. I always find something to buy. Many different traders with an assortment of items for sale. Most are used/ second hand but some things are new. The place is big so a little cool but has toilets and a coffee shop so caters for everyone. I challenge you to leave with nothing, it’s very hard. Got lots of bargains over the years. Well recommended

not what we had in mind

We thought that the emporium was more of an Antique centre so we walked there to look but most of the stalls were new and not what we had in mind .

Wow what an interesting place
May 2019 • Family
Emporium is the perfect word as there is literally something for everyone. Antiques, Crafts, collectibles, art, quirky things and so much more. Great place to visit at anytime and also to have a nice spot of lunch in the cafe. Even a brewery there too. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. I love a wonder around the place 😉.

Just Interesting Things
May 2019 • Business
Great place for a wide variety of things for sale. Over 120 independent traders. Sales desk. Cafe. Toilets dog and wheelchair friendly. Allow an hour to wonder around and check out the various stalls.

Expensive Second Hand Tat!
Apr 2019 • Family
We went here as we were looking for a way to spend a little bit of time.

There are over 100 stalls but most were full of collectables, craft items, clothing, toys and second hand boot-sale bric-a-brac. The stalls are unmanned but there is a reception where you can ask for help and pay. We were quite fascinated about the things that were sold, but most things are overpriced and/or in poor condition.

Also, there is a cafe in the building but we didn't use it, neither did we go to the brewery nearby as it was closed.

There is free parking.

Way to spend a rainy couple of hours
Aug 2018 • Couples
Smallish stalls to look round, some selling junk and some really good local crafts people you may find working there who use this emporium to display and sell their work so a great way of supporting them. There is also a coffee shop there, an easy afternoon in one place. A good way of helping support the town.

Excellent place for a rainy day!
Aug 2018 • Couples
After weeks and weeks of relentlessly hot weather it was a blessed relief when the rains came. However as we had relatives down we were in need of a rainy day activity. My wife and her mother are big craft lovers and so we chose the emporium. I, accompanied by our wire haired sausage dog, went along with mixed feelings. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. There are many stalls here offering a wide variety of wares. A couple of traditional hardware stalls which I was interested in as well as a wide range of stalls selling items including clothes, furniture, children's toys, photographs, jewellery, music, present and gift ideas.... You name it. Some stalls focussed on vintage and antique items whilst others were modern. In short there really is something for everyone. Some stalls were very expensive, some stalls were very reasonable indeed. On top of all that there is a nice big cafe too! We spent a happy hour and a half and left with an eclectic mix of things, all of which we had no plan to buy beforehand.
I am sure it's a good place to visit whatever the weather but it was great for a rainy day.

But same same
Jan 2018 • Couples
My wife and I visited here. It’s well laid out and staff seem reasonably pleasant. The Brewery above is a bonus. The part I found a bit disappointing was it was a lot of the same types of stallholders.

There’s lots of stalls selling identical stuff and much of it you can get online for a fraction of the price.

There also seems to be quite a few stalls where owners have just trawled through the charity shops, so a lot are underwhelming.

If you’re passing it’s worth calling in for the cafe and quick browse, or, some beer. I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip
