I've been to Salisbury Catherdral which is big and is steeped in history but there is something about Christchurch Priory that was even more appealing. I think it may be the intimate nature of Christchurch, it just seemed a lot more history was on offer and made walking around reading the tiles much more enjoyable.

Worth a short visit for the interesting and different architectural styles in the church and former monestery. Well informed and knowledgable volunteer guides

Wonderful history to this church and lovely that you can light candles for people. Very peaceful place even though it was fairly busy.

Lovely place to visit in Christchurch with its interesting salmon wind vane. Lots of interesting religious artifacts to see inside and a lovely model - which in fact was not working when we were there. Staff were very cheerful and friendly.

We always visit the priory when on holiday. It is so nice just to walk around and relaxing. Would recommend this church just for the peaceful feeling it gives you to just sit and look around.

Having visited the area most holidays since I was a kid (45yrs) I always pop in to revisit this interesting church stop and read the story of the miracle beam and take a walk around the memorial gardens

Beautiful church, but smells very musty and is in dire need of maintenance. A couple of nice stained glass windows, and carvings. Nothing spectacular, but was simple, and had an air of simplicity about it. Free entry, donations welcomed. You can put 20p in a large church model, and it lights up and plays a hymn: fab!
