Lovely visit to Hanbury Hall. Amazing grounds, very well kept and the house is very interesting. Our tour guide was particularly impressive, unfortunately I cannot recall his name, but he gave us a great deal of insight into how the family lived. The house has only every been owned by one family which is very unusual for these sort of... More

Perhaps a lesser known National Trust property but well worth the visit. Make sure you take the tour. Our tour guide, John, was a fountain of scandalous information. It would have been nicer in the summer, we are sure; but still worth visiting in January as not so many things are open to the public. Staff were friendly and helpful.... More

The gardens at Hanbury Hall were beautifully maintained and extensive, as was the Hall itself. Staff were friendly and informative. At the end of the day we stopped for refreshments and food in the cafeteria, delicious!.

It was very busy but the volunteers always helpful and informative. Beautiful gardens and free grounds. Lots of people walking. Will visit at another time when less busy, but it was Christmas time

The day I went it was so popular that it was difficult finding a parking space even though the carpark has been enlarged. The grounds are extensive and there are several public footpaths passing by so you can extend your walk by miles if you wish. An easy extension is to Hanbury Church, or to the Jinney Ring craft centre.... More

Interesting hall in a lovely park. However very expensive for what there is to see. Not many rooms open in the hall, the gardens are pleasant but nothing special and the cafe was crowded with very slow service.

We enjoyed our visit to Hanbury Hall. The usual well informed National Trust volunteers were only to happy to answer questions and share their wealth of knowledge. There some winter limitations to certain rooms and parts of the grounds as areas were recovering, however, this didn't spoil our visit. Only downside was that the tearoom couldn't cope with the amount... More
