Worth a visit

Both the house and the gardens are well worth a visit. A National Trust property, there is plenty to see in the heartland of BBC series, The Archers.

Made a visit to this lovely national trust house and Gardens today, we have been before, but thought we would like another look. Had lunch in the team room, baked spuds and salad, very good, had a long walk around the gardens, loads to look at, lot's of lambs to see in the grounds , staff very friendly and helpful... More

I visited here recently with my daughter and granddaughter. The drive into the grounds was delightful as we passed sheep and lambs. There was good parking. Without exception every member of staff we met was friendly, cheerful and helpful. I would really recommend this for a visit as there is a great restaurant, lots of walks and open spaces and... This venue is in my opinion one of the nicest National Trusts there is. The house is stunning, the grounds are just gorgeous and the café is well priced, with lots of choice.

A nice place to visit with lots to see. The gardens are great and facilities for food are very good. We had afternoon tea in the Chambers restaurant and had to have a doggy bag there was so much to eat. Well worth the visit.

The weather on the day we visited was rainy and windy,so the grounds, apart from the parterre and fruit gardens, were closed. This did not stop it from being a very enjoyable visit. The house was full of history but had a wonderful homely feel. The two men in our group were fascinated with the organ, and were delighted when they were able to... More

As National Trust members we were in the area, having been to Charlecote in the morning, and called here at 2.30pm on a Friday in February. The car park is massive and you initially go into the reception area where I tried to pay with an Ikea card which wasn't a good start! (NT card and Ikea card are both... More

Incredibly disappointed. Garden trail not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. No pushchair/wheelchair access to upstairs and when enquired about this was very rudely and sarcastically told that there were no lifts in the 18th century! Then when found somewhere to sit downstairs, were asked to move as pushchair was 'in the way'

Hard to choose what the best part of the visit was: the helpful and knowledable staff; the fact that roped off areas are kept to an absolute minimum so you feel a real part of the history around you; or the wonderful grounds and outbuildings. We had an interesting and fun day - thank you!

Visited here with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, plenty of parking spaces, doesn't open until 11am, so we had to wait around for 20 mins as we weren't aware of this but the nice lady let us in a bit earlier as it was quite cold standing around. It's a really lovely place , the hall is quite impressive from... More
