This is a charming house and it contains stunning wall paintings telling the story of Achilles and his dodgy heel. There certainly are some beautiful rooms and the volunteers are very informative. Room folders offer even more detail. Regrettably, much of the furniture is not...More

Well cared for house with such knowledgeable National Trust volunteers. A lot of the house is not available to visit but the rest is marvellous. The gardens are superb. Well worth a walk to the ice house to admire the trees along the way.
