Beautiful Town and a wonderful Mayor
Sep 2021
Spent a lovely day in Droitwich Spa last week, Beautiful lunch down by the canal in Vines Park with gorgeous food from Quality Crust in the precinct. Then we followed the walking trail which we picked up from the visitors centre at the Salt Museum. It was a boiling hot day but we still had a great day in a very pretty town.
Special mention to The Mayor of Droitwich - when we arrive in the car park we needed £4 cash for the time we wanted to stay, but we only had cards as all the other towns we had been to had pay by card machines. We searched our pockets but only had £2 cash and as visitors, no idea of where the nearest cash machine was. Step up the Mayor of Droitwich who just happened to be paying for his own parking, and very kindly gave us £2 from his own pocket to make up the shortfall.
WAY TO GO MR MAYOR! Great PR for Droitwich and gave us such a positive start to our visit. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Beautiful Pool but on the cold side.
Aug 2021
It is as lovely as the photos advertising the lido.

The pool booking cost £24 for a 2 hour family swim. In comparison with ‘waterpark’ prices this is good value though we couldn’t last the full duration. The pool is heated to 23 degrees (air temp was cooler) though I did still feel the cold.
The pool and changing rooms are really clean and the cafe is very good value.
On a warm, sunny day this place would be idyllic.
Great for families with young and older children too. Staff on-site were very helpful and friendly.

Good but chilly!
Aug 2021 • Family
Good sized outdoor lido. Said it was heated to 23° however I've swam in warmer seas it was freezing! My son loved it though, could take inflatables in so we took our ball in which was good fun! 2 hour slots which is a good price for what you pay, was busy but to be expected in the school holidays! Would return but only in hot, sunny weather, today was cloudy and 19° and was cold. Changing rooms and all facilities clean. Didn't visit the cafe so couldn't comment on this.

Excellent pool and beautiful park
Jun 2021 • Couples
Excellent brine pool and a lovely experience altogether. It is an exceptional rarity in Droitwich now to see salt water baths of any description and this is a rare surviving example I enjoyed every minuit and the day was glorious to make it even better lovely cafe and excellent service lovely well mannered staff who could not do enough either with civility or help the art deco original cafe that was building survives and the lido has been sympathetically modernised the park and surroundings of Lebanese cedar and formal beds is a pleasure to walk in it was clean well maintained with carpet bedding in the formal parteres a lovely backdrop to a lovely day. Droitwich itself must start to reinvest in its heritage and do more to preserve its spa heritage, the lido is wonderful, but the municipal authorities must do more alot more to secure its heritage so we don't end up basking redolently in the charm. Of what was, when it should be what is the Raven hotel being one example. Something that this lido once was a wreck but now a wonderful place, heavily subscribed to and successful. I canot recommend this place enough.

BEAUTIFUL
May 2021 • Solo
My first visit to the outdoor pool and wow! The changing facilities were clean and straight forward, choice of a cubicle or communal changing (separate genders I’ll add unlike some leisure centres), £1 for the locker which you get back!
The pool itself is simply gorgeous! But cold when you first jump in but once you get going it’s lovely!
I’d probably avoid going again when the schools are on a day off but that didn’t stop me getting my my 10 lengths in.
Really really nice pool and will be returning.
The cafe next door is lovely too, very nice staff and Victoria sponge to die for!
To save £2 on the car park, park the other end of the lido park at St Peter’s and have a lovely walk through and back!

Cafe nightmare
Jun 2021 • Friends
In the Cafe, one of the members of staff was exceptionally rude to our group. I felt very uncomfortable and the food was deffinatley not worth the extortionate price I payed for it. The chips were cold and the hot chocolate was very powdery and too rich. The pool was nice but honestly from my experience in the cafe I don’t know if I’ll be visiting again.

Lido Park, Droitwich: hidden treasure
May 2021 • Couples
Droitwich Lido swimming pool is both well-known and popular. But the extensive park which surrounds it is a hidden treasure. Apart from the colourful flowerbeds, mature trees, band stand and wooden sculptures which provide an attractive backdrop for family outings and dog-walkers, there is also a large well-tended natural meadow area with wild flowers and a mature arboretum, plus streams and walks beyond, as far as St Peter's Church and the adjacent magnificent 16th century timbered manor house, with its connections to Edward Winslow, one of America's Pilgrim Fathers.
This really is a delightful park to stroll through in peace. There are also tennis courts and a magnificent cricket ground for the more energetic. Not forgetting a small children's play area. We love it here. There are plenty of benches, and adequate rubbish bins ensure the park is kept tidy. Recommended

A great day out
May 2021 • Family
It was a cold and wet day, but the staff both in the cafe and at the pool side were extremely friendly and accommodating. My partner has a nut allergy but we were assured that no nuts at all are used on the premises. We also had an accident where my partners daughter knocked her beautiful hot chocolate with all the trimmings all over the floor. They replaced it immediately with no fuss what so ever. They made us very welcome. We will definitely go back again and will be recommending it to all and sundry.
