We had a really good time at Round O and where made more than welcome (as a hired boat) by the mentioned Barges.. one gentleman of a barge let my kids have his wee safety boat to play around on.. he couldn't do enough for us and all the other hired boats arriving.. we can not wait to go back again.. I forget the gentleman's name but be was a real character what give us all a laugh..

Can’t get berthed due to the Lough Erne Armada
May 2021 • Family
Coming to this area for years. Sometimes twice a year on a cruiser. For 3 years in a row now you cannot get near the Round O to park up for the night. All shore power points used by the same people on the same barges all the time and I’ve never once saw them move. Living rent free in their boats. The Warden drives past doing nothing, and I’d previously emailed the council but of course nothing changes. I can assure you on our 3 weeks a year here we are attempting to give the local economy a lot more than this Lough Erne Armada are in a year. We have had enough and won’t be back. The Shannon and the facilities by Waterways Ireland from the Woodford River are second to none and unfortunately Lough Erne and Enniskillen in particular losing those that once loved to come. Sick of being treated with contempt simply because we are in a hire boat. Round O is just one example of this in both Upper and Lower Loughs.

Filthy pit stop
Oct 2020 • Couples
Boating holiday on lough erne and made a bee line for here to have a shower and use the facilities. Of which there are none. One disabled access toilet with excrement on the floor, no soap and toilet is blocked. And covered with signs telling you to be clean and safe from covid by frequent washing. Absolute disgrace to be blunt. Was gonna post a pic on here but it’s so putrid as to be disgusting and not fit to be seen.

Great as a pitstop place for families with young children ⛵
Aug 2020 • Family
We stopped here enroute home after a 2 week stay in Donegal. Great playground for kids. Picnic area with benches and bins. Ducks and boats captured our toddler's attention. Free parking here. Only one toilet available for use (disabled toilet). It was reasonably clean and there was a little toilet paper left by 1pm on a Saturday and some paper towels for drying your hands. There's a baby changing station in this toilet also. The centre of Enniskillen (Townhall) was 10-12 min walk away. Would highly recommend here as a pitstop for families with young children!!

Scenic starting point for boating on or sailing Lough Erne
Sep 2018
Great place to board a leisurely vessel for a (half-)day trip on Lough Erne. Good parking and grassy plain for a pic-nic.

Great for kids to play, has an outdoor gym for the adults. Coffee shop on site and the Kestrel goes from here to Devenish Island.

Boat hire
Jun 2018 • Friends
I hired a Boat with some friends that come over to visit from America: they said that of all the places they had travelled too this had to be among the worst: there was people in a big green barge just standing drinking and shouting throwing empty beer cans in the water, we just about got a spot to park as there was a lot of small boats sitting in the spaces with electricity: we stayed for10 minutes and moved on because we just did not feel safe, that was my first and last time I would hire a bout in Lough Erne. My friends said they would never go back. So much for waterways ireland the warden just sailed past,

Dozens of ducks
Aug 2017 • Family
If you are looking for a place where you can feed the ducks, look no further. There were dozens and dozens today! There is a nice little play park and public outdoor gym equipment . And a nice cafe you can drive Right up to the waters edge almost to park. There was a large sign with information about different boat trips available , although we didn't have time ourselves to follow this up. Very nice little park area .

A public slipway where you can't leave trailers!
Jun 2017 • Family
We have been coming to the loughs for years, putting money into hotels and restaurants, cruiser hire, supermarkets, etc.

But now it appears that Fermanagh Council do not want to attract boating visitors. They have banned boat trailers being left overnight at one of the few public slipways.
We were here for 2 nights with 6 families and 5 boats 3 weeks ago and we all launched and parked here. Back again for 2 nights three weeks later with 4 boats and 5 families and see this sign. We are also back in August with three families and hiring 3 cruisers from ABC boats. Really disappointed with Fermanagh Council and how they tourists, very short sighted.🚤😠😠😠😠😠😠

Live beside here so regularly take my dog on walks. It's a lovely place and very well kept. You can go on a boat tour and feed the ducks. Lovely day out.
