Damp day so visited.

Arriving the door was locked. On entering not a word was spoken, perhaps we interrupted her lunch. Some of the dress is priced at over £2500, this was described as a museum, within a shop but hard to see which was which. Still, not a word was spoken.

Loved it! Beautiful clothing - This has developed over the years - what an extensive display - all manner of lace designs and clothing from so many eras!
Lady manager very helpful and interesting but had allowed us the freedom of the place before we began asking questions.

The lace dress
Jan 2017 • Friends
Ive driven past the Antique lace museum so many times and always told myself next time I'll go in and have a look. Eventually I couldnt resist stopping to have a look. The lace gown in the window was stunning. Once inside you wanted to see every nook and cranny. They had so much on display all set out beautifully. The staff was very friendly she didnt mind me looking at everything and asking her all about the lace. I cant wait to visit again for longer and visit their Cafe

Beautiful place to visit
Jun 2017 • Friends
This place was not far from our guest house and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the exhibits which, we were told, had taken 30 years to collect. It is only a small museum but fascinating as it describes the many different types of lace and how they are made.

Quick and quaint

Lovely to see what has been a lifetime's work in one admittedly small place and a 4 Euro souvenir piece of lace was perfect. Lots to see and a lovely tea room next door with excellent parking

Visit to Bellinaleck Lace museum and coffee shop
Feb 2017 • Friends
The Donegal Town Presbyterian Church Friendship club took a visit to the museum and coffee shop in Bellinaleck
We had coffee and scones to start and this is a must when in the area as the scones were to die for and top of the class for the welcome
The lace museum was amazing and our group had to be dragged out of the place
The displays were so impressive from the large wedding gowns to the small delicate gifts
Weel worth a visit

A beautiful and unexpected find!
Sep 2016 • Couples
We visited while on a short holiday in September. My wife is interested in lace and, coming from Nottingham with its history of lace making, we were interested to discover more about Irish lace. But nothing could have prepared us for just how fine this shop is. It is beautifully set out with a huge collection of superb Irish lace, with a small museum at the rear of the shop with various styles of lace on display. The lady who runs the shop is very knowledgable and has created a wonderful place to visit.

Lace Extravaganza
Sep 2016 • Solo
After years of dreaming of it, I was finally able to visit Sheelin Lace and found it everything I'd hoped it to be. For anyone who loves lace, the displays here are exquisite. Of special note are the 3 lace wedding dresses towards the back of the shop. This shop was a treat to walk through, and well worth my time.
