Between the short and long walks, cultural views of the mountains, the ground's gardens and Florence Court House itself and it's history.. well worthy of a visit!

We spent a most enjoyable few hours here on a lovely sunny day. The gardens and grounds are beautiful but the highlight of the visit was the tour of the great house. As fans of Downton Abbey we were transported back in time and reliving the life of the Coles (the owners) through the centuries with our most informative guide... More

Really interesting old house, with guided tours available during the season ...lots of family things all still in place ..it really does give a feel of how the family lived back in the day. The walled garden is being brought back to the original design and planting over time and if you have the time there are lots of dog... More

As the weather was uncertain, we didn't think we would get the chance to fully enjoy the grounds here. However, we got lucky! The rain held off for the duration of an almost 2-hour walk around the perimeter of the extensive grounds only arriving as we got back to the car. We had previously had a very good light lunch... We arrived a little late, so missed the last tour of the house, we instead wandered around the lovely gardens and grounds. Would recommend that alone.

Great place for a visit particularly if you are a member of the national trust as entry is free, otherwise its £6 per adult or £15 per family so if you just want to visit the coffee shop in the courtyard it makes it an expensive coffee. Explore the extensive grounds and be sure to visit the fantastic walled gardens.

Beautiful house and grounds. Sun was shining and the walks were all very enjoyable. Tour was very enjoyable and informative. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Bought potatoes which they grew in the vegetable garden. Looking toward to tasting them. If going to visit would recommend becoming a member as works out much cheaper if you are likely to visit... I was especially impressed with the smiles and enthusiasm of staff- beginning with the lovely courteous cheerful young woman at the kiosk where you pay for parking. Then Catherine and others at entrance/visitor center where I bought ticket for house tour were all friendly, helpful and professional-I felt enthusiastic already just by their warm welcome! The parking area and grounds... More
