Having completed the local Coastal Path we decided to walk just the start of the Saints Way. We were warned it would be muddy. The warning was fair! One particular cauliflower field had been ploughed up to the hedge and had ruts of 18-24 inches...More

We followed just a short stretch of the saints way from Polkerris beach back to Fowey. We had started in Fowey and followed the coast path around Gribbin Head, cutting back overland to Fowey via the Saints Way. The stretch of path we followed was...More

We did the walk over three days. We had struggled to find accommodation and food in the mid section between Lanivet and Trenance, so had to go off route and use taxis. The route is well signposted on the small country road sections but you...More

This is a Celtic trail. I Took the Padstow-Fowey route (30miles) over three days staying at B&Bs overnight. Some pretty steep fields to negotiate and big stiles to climb over so probably not so good to try if you are not reasonably fit. Lovely ancient...More

This path goes through stretches where the Celts walked and where you can see brands such pilgrimages. In addition you will walk through varied landscapes and always very beautiful as crops, livestock areas and forests.

Very well way-marked, easy terrain though more strenuous than the Camel Trail. On both options the scenery starts ok and gets better in the second half. The Fowey estuary and the woodland around Golant were particular highlights.

We only hiked a bit along the river up to Golant. Typical of English trails, it is casually marked so if you're looking for signage every so often, you won't see it. This warning applies to English A and B roads as well. I like...More

Wonderful quite challenging walk with excellent views. Niece to stop en route at sams on the beach. We were staying near ready money cove so not too far to walk from polkerrin back across the fields.

We walked from Par beach to Fowey after being told it was a couple of miles. In fact it was around 4.5. My five year old was pretty tired by the time we got there but it was a lovely walk with some fantastic views,...More

We only walked a short distance along the Saints Way, but found it well signposted (apart from a bit through a farmers field) and interesting history

Its all hilly around that area, steep valleys etc - unless you can find a path along the river itself.
