About
Wyndham Park in is one of the very best in Britain - and that's official! The park's town centre location next to Grantham's Riverside Walk means it's hugely popular with visitors and local alike. It's South Kesteven District Council's aim to provide a park which is not only welcoming but safe, offering a superb range of activities and experiences to suit all ages. We have been a "Green Flag" park since 2012. This is a UK-wide mark of excellence for parks and gardens and winning the award means Wyndham Park is recognised as being amongst the best in the country. Grantham's Wyndham Park Forum and South Kesteven District Council have received support from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and the Big Lottery Fund. The development funding is for a project aimed at restoring the park to its former glory as a First World War memorial park and be one of the district's finest assets.

Loved all of it there is something for everyone and great for dog walking and cycling. The cafe is excellent and is next to the bowling green where you can try it out free.
Queen Elizabeth park connects to Wyndham park and provides paths into town.

Very pretty little park but not much in the way of parking. Managed to find a couple of streets nearby with no parking restrictions otherwise it would have been a pointless journey. Clean and well laid out park, dog friendly. Small cafe by bowling green.

Great little park...visited today with my 3 children aged 3,6 & 12. It was boiling so we heading the splash pad which my kids loved. We then got an ice cream from the tea rooms which was very reasonable. Toilets by the visitor centre were very clean. The parks weren't amazing but nevertheless still clean and in good condition.

Parking- there's a good sized parking area completely free we parked on the road because we weren't sure if it was free.

Worth a visit for a couple of hours fun.

I go there regularly. The playground is excellent for kids. With gym outside and tennis court they are great options to spend a few hours. Not far tea room where you can have tea, coffee, on summer months ice cream.

Lovely place in the town centre to go for a walk in these challenging times, not as busy as i though it would be, also due to the weather, well worth a stroll.

Many thanks for your feedback. Please look out for improvements to the park in the coming months and years as part of our Heritage Lottery Fund and BIG Lottery Fund bid. We have a great website to keep you up to date on the park's news and events, that incorporate the project and its aim to restore the park to its former glory as a World War One memorial park. Reading the review highlights just made me want to write this review.
The cafe by the bowling area is nice, although expensive.

The park is well kept in terms of flowers and grass, but the paddling pool that was added a couple of years ago hasn't been Kept and looks horrible now.

There is certainly not much to do for children of any age anymore. Both play areas are outdated. And in desperate need of repair. The skatepark that was there has been torn down and it's just a slab of concrete now.

Park is a nice bit of land that is nice to look down and walkthrough but I wouldn't worry call it apart it's just a shortcut that I always walk through most days to get into town.

Called in as I was passing through the area and had read it was dog friendly. The car park was full, as it is Easter school holiday I accept that might not always be the case. The playground was full of children having fun and the tea room and ice cream parlour was also popular. Some lovely walks but dogs had to be kept on leads so not much fun for the four legged one! Wouldn't bother again. Good for humans not so good for canines!
