Several colour-marked routes guide you through this maze of trees, otherwise you might well become lost! The variety of trees, shrubs and ground-covering plants is staggering. The colours of the foliage are amazing. You may be lucky and see red squirrels and crested tits. If...More

To me, one of the loveliest places I have visited and on several occasions. Always tranquil as you stroll through, catching sight of a red squirrel or crested tit if you are lucky enough. Blue-tits, coal tits, chaffinches are always to be seen. Outstanding flora...More

Coming here in autumn is a very gratifying experience. The colors! And such a pleasant smell. I got lost even though the road was marked. But it was definitely worth it.

We were on a cycle tour of Scotland and made this little detour off the Speyside way. These woods are beautiful, it was worth the taking the time.

Wonderful walks in stunning setting. Sadly did not see any red squirrels this time. Really disappointed to see so much litter near the car park when there was a bin very close. Why do people do this? Discarded food wrappers and even a dog poo...More

So peaceful and quiet - please don't go there unless you are prepared to be likewise. Beautiful trees and wildlife to see - but please respect it.

Stephanie and I visited on 22 September and were unaware of any such problem. I would have no hesitation taking children here. One option to keep their interest would be to walk to the end of the military road (easy going... More
