- Super TNorwich, United Kingdom19 contributionsGreat Yarmouth beautiful something for everyoneThe beach is stunning throughout the year. We visit throughout. In the summer I he beach is so big it never feels crowded. Lots of shops and things to do. Joyland snails are for all ages. Yarmouth offers something for everyone. Don't forget to hunt for the rows, they have more potential and I hope more shops move in. Try to find Kitty Witches row or three finger rowVisited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten February 9, 2024
- eliza2355Norwich, United Kingdom89 contributionsLovely safe beach. With plenty to see and dodoAmazing huge beach. Lovely cafes along the front. We can sit at one for ages and we love to watch the bowls while there. The children love the bouncy castles and the donkeys.. You can get a train that rides all along the seafront.. Its called the golden mile but it's actually a lot longer than that. I would recommend it for all ages.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten February 9, 2024
- Man1cmomWest Midlands, United Kingdom744 contributionsLovely beach, shame about the rest of the townStaying nearby and visited GY beach. The beach itself is stunning. Golden sand and miles of it. The weather wasn’t particularly great when we went so it was clean too. Despite doing a grand job the wind turbines off shore spoil a beautiful view, very imposing. The rest of the town leaves a lot to be desired. Totally run down and full of either down and outers or Romanian pick pockets. Unfortunately we won’t venture this way ever again, the south and wales have much more beautiful places to offer.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 9, 2024

We visited Yarmouth for one night to get away having worked through Covid as key workers.
The main beach front area we thought was generally very run down.
Many things looked like they needed a lick of paint. Hotels that were either closed or shut.
We struggled to find a restaurant to eat in the evening. We ended up going into the town and still struggled. We did visit on a Monday & post
Coming out of lockdown, however the state of the place was no excuse.
If I had booked a holiday here I would of felt very disappointed.

The place looked nice, but to park you must pay the minimum stay of 3 hours (12 pounds) in coins (in 2023!). We found that too much for an after-dinner stroll and left. If you are into noisy arcade games, this is the place to go.

Went last week to Great Yarmouth and had a relatively nice time. While the promenade and main shopping street were nice, the side and backs streets were not, unbelievably run down, not just the streets but the majority of shops and houses as well. Also some very undesirable people hanging around did not feel safe after 5.30 especially on regent road shopping area. This I’m afraid spoiled it for me even though we stayed at a really nice b&b, will not return.

Look I appreciate for many people Great Yarmouth is great and the beaches are okay once you have found the sea. However, the town is very poor, some of the worst food you could ever eat unless you like chips and you are already overweight then it is probably great food
Personalky speaking considering how many people come here I cannot understand why the cuisine is so bad. As for the culture, well if you like to watch tattoo people dance, smell drugs then you will fit on here perfectly. Avoid.

This place is a disgusting vile place, full of foreigners in groups, men learing druelling and watching you, shouting things. Romanian women giving us dirty looks, makes you feel unsafe. The town is dirty, and again huge groups of intimidating foreigners everywhere. Seagulls are very aggressive and do attack and draw blood saw it a few times. Scared to eat outside. The seafront is probably one of the crappiest I've seen. Very small and outdated. Rubbish everywhere in this town. Would not recommend this place at all

Been coming to Yarmouth for years. And have always had a great time. This time was checking out UEA (University of East Anglia) and decided to make a Weekend of it. That was our first mistake. Something has occurred in Yarmouth and lock down can only shoulder some of the blame. The area is overrun by untrained. Unqualified. Uninsured idiots on E Scooters. At least they have consistent disregard for the rules of the road as well as the rules of the pavement.
With the building works. And businesses deciding not to open the whole town seems tired and unexciting. Some of the businesses we have used for years that have become a tradition to visit. Have changed hands. And now seek to entice new customers with cheaper but inferior meals.
Sure some things in Yarmouth still remain but it's lost that magical something. That made it Great.

I visited here with my husband for a mid-week day out.
We have both been before.
There is a lot of parking very close by. You can park along the seafront but this does get very busy in peak periods. We parked in a pay and display opposite the theme park and we were the only car in there!
The beach in Great Yarmouth is lovely. And very child friendly.
The sand is mainly clear of all rocks and seaweed. The sand is lovely and fine and the beach itself is huge! You can get a good spot and not have anyone near you for quite some distance.
The beachfront has lots of toilets, cafes and food stalls so everything is close by.
You could happily spend a day here if you wanted too.
The beach is exceptionally clean and tidy too. You don't see a ton of workmen and cleaners on it but it always looks immaculate. It's a lovely bit of coastline.
It's somewhere we definitely will be returning to.

We went for a weekend break in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk & even in the winter sunshine, you would think your in the Caribbean. It stretches from the north pier to the end of the south dunes & it’s really wide & narrows off in the south beach area. You can other stand why people flock to the beach in the summer for days on this beautiful beach. I’ll be back.

Lovely walk in the bracing wind on a sunny winters day. Beach was pretty empty when we arrived but numbers of walkers grew during the morning. Plenty of cafes to stop for a drink. We stopped at a very nice cafe in the middle of the boating lake.

Wow, what can I say, this place is definitely not great! What an absolute dive. It's got to be the worst place I have ever visited. People moan about Blackpool but seriously Blackpool is a million times better than Great Yarmouth. I have never visited the East coast before hence choosing a holiday here but I wish I didn't. The town is so run down and filthy, rubbish and dog poo everywhere. There is a stench of grease and fat in the air from all the chip, burger and donut places frying all day long. So many homeless people around too. I'm not one to feel intimidated however that's how I felt in this town. The public toilets were grim too along with the dirty run down amusement arcades. The word ROUGH just about covers it. One plus note, I had a fun time playing crazy golf before getting the hell out of there. ÂŁ8 to park is also a joke!
