Amazing little theatre and a show well worth a watch, lots of giggles. We went last year loved it so much went back this year. Slightly different layout due to social distancing, but all safety measures were in place , and we felt at ease. Staff are brilliant, a real family atmosphere .

I have been to three shows at St. George's this year and had problems with the booking process every time. First show wasn't showing online, so I had to pop in. Second show the website wouldn't work, so I phoned up. Third show the new website would only offer two seats in separate rows, however I waited a couple of weeks, and managed to book successfully. I chose the print tickets at home option, but on arrival was told that I had to go to the box office to exchange these for proper tickets. Not much of a problem even though the box office is in another building, and it was a cold, damp November night. On arrival at the box office, the lady told us that we didn't need to exchange the tickets, and accompanied us back to the theatre to instruct the staff there to let us take our seats. Some extra training is required, and it's no wonder that audience numbers are small, when it's so difficult to book.

The theatre is a fairly recent conversion from an old church, so much of the equipment is modern, but the seating is moveable, and not that comfortable, although there is plenty of legroom. There is a bar at the rear of the auditorium, but if you want ice cream, then it's outside to the cafe / box office building nearby.

I realize that many of the staff are volunteers, but management needs to ensure that they are properly trained, and there really is no excuse for such a poor website booking experience on so many occasions.

A good show for children (ages 4-10). A silly hour of fun, with some good tricks and child friendly Captain Calamity. This show was under the theatres new 'pay what you can' pricing which meant it was a very affordable afternoon out.

Went here to watch the Fury's, easy to find, parked on the seafront, had fish and chips then got a taxi to the theatre, went into the small bar/cafe next to the theatre had coffee and cake, lovely staff, very welcoming, seats a little uncomfortable but unavoidable and did not spoil the show. Your very close wherever you sit so it makes for a very friendly theatre, will certainly go again.

We have now seen so many great shows from Sooty to plays. Our youngest joined the theatre group in the summer. A great place to go very clean and a bit of a gem in Yarmouth. They have some top shows on HAVE A LOOK you will not be disappointed.

A very unusual building having been adapted from its former use as a church I believe. Seating was a bit casual with just chairs in rows on the floor, no tiering, but allowed for plenty of room between rows. The show I saw was "One Day More" with songs from popular musicals, but the finale was a morbid selection from West Side Story, ending with Tony's body being carried sombrely offstage, A more uplifting and positive ending would have made us leave in a happier mood....
I believe volunteers keep it going, and if I remember, there was a donation bucket at the exit.

As a disabled mobility scooter user, we found this theatre so friendly & welcoming.
The show was refreshing & lovely to watch with the great many talents.
Seating is single chairs as I believe this was once a church, and as the inside showed it was very well kept and lovely to take a look around.
There is a ramp to the side which takes you straight into the theatre, and then your greeted by friendly staff who direct & help you to your seat...
Would of like to have seen more productions during our stay, will definitely look to book in the future.
These cast members are not top artists but I wish we had booked to see them doing other nights rather than the theatre bookings we did on brittania pier !!
Well done st George's your a credit to Great Yarmouth !
