Caravan was filthy on arrival and my wife spent the first 2 hours of our holiday cleaning. the park is claiming they have extra cleaning features due to covid, the caravan itself was battered about on the outside assuming it has been moved several times in its life, we paid a premium price for the holiday and ended up with a tired, very dated filthy caravan, the sofa had been repaired in the past and they had replaced the chipboard base with 4mm ply which I fell through whilst sitting, they came and repaired it straight away but they should not have used timber so thin on a span over 2ft. To sum it up, we booked late due to our hols being cancelled abroad, so paid a premium price for budget accommodation, I would not stay at california cliffs again.

Stayed here 2weeks ago for a family weekend break booked through 2cHolidays. We had no problem with the 8 berth Caravan we hired - it had been cleaned to a high standard (as had others which we have booked with them in the past on other sites) and had a good array of plates / glasses etc. We had to pay £47 for passes to allow us to use the swimming pool and clubhouse but then no-one ever asked to see them on entrance to these facilities which was a surprise as we have had to show them at other parks. The swimming pool has both an indoor and outdoor section but is on the small side for the size of the park as when it rained on the Sunday we had to queue to gain admittance but the water was lovely and warm so worth the wait. We felt the evening entertainment could do with an overhaul but I think that is probably the case for most of the parks we've been to. The grandkids enjoyed the playground, crazy golf and go-carts and of course the Amusement arcade. There is a well stocked grocery shop and fish&chip shop on-site and just across the road is a Chinese takeaway (had a lovely meal from here) We discovered an excellent Bakery just down the road which did marvellous fresh cakes and rolls and a nice tearoom near that. The beach we accessed from the sloping path near Tricia's chippy (excellent) at Scratby: lots of long stretches of sand with the occasional seal swimming past so plenty to keep the family happy. Would we return.... if it was possible to buy passes just for the pool only then yes we would as Caravan holidays are reminiscent of my youth and have a timeless appeal but I do feel that the facilities offered need to be enlarged.

Let’s start with the positives, fantastic friendly staff especially in reception and at the pool. My grandson loved the pool and the obstacle course was well worth the £5 booking fee, great fun! Sorry Parkdean but the site layout now leaves a lot to be desired. Having been here before several years ago I was really disappointed this visit. Last time we had a caravan near the main road, this time we were further into the site, Talk about sardines, I’m sure there is absolutely no way they can fit another caravan on the site...which is probably why there were several empty caravans parked on the road. This resulted in having to drive the whole way round the site to get out. Getting onto the road from the side of our caravan was another experience. We had to weave in and out of other vans to get out watching for other holiday makers as we went, we were really worried about children running around the corner. Needs sorting, doubt we will return.

So we chose this park as it is dog friendly and so is the beach across the road. The caravan was clean and kitchen facilities par for the course. The springs in the bed could be felt by running your hand across the mattress. The seating in the lounge area was grubby, flat and uncomfortable. The area around the caravan park is one way but cars park in the way and the site leave caravans in the middle of the road overnight when moving them, making it difficult to navigate your way out! There is a Nisa shop on site, don’t bother, it’s really expensive and there is a Lidl less than 2 miles away in Caister. There is also a vet there in case you need one as we did. The entertainment was the same all week! There is a reasonable pub at the end of the road which also serves food and had a small outdoor play area. The beach across the road is sandy shingle and quite steep to get up and down to hence Cliffs in the name. Not ideal for those mobile as there is only wheelchair access part of the way down. Beach was clean and dogs loved it. We won’t return, we preferred Caister.

This caravan has not been cleaned in weeks the amount of dust found, having to ring c2holidays on a daily basis for things to be done is not what I call a holiday and all you get is why didn’t you ring the out of hours if you were unhappy. They still don’t rectify what you are complaining about. I would not recommend this as a holiday to anyone.
