This is a very beautiful church. Don't be put off by the blackened stones. Go inside and you will be rewarded with a gorgeous building with some lovely carvings and really beautiful stained glass.

I went with a group to learn how to bell ring. The evening was well put together with the minsters bell ringers. I don't think the population of Halifax town centre like our experimently sounds were keen. Really enjoyable evening we finished of the night at the three pigeons

We trekked down to visit the Halifax Minster, only to find that they were preparing it for a service the next day so were unable to take a peek.

One of the most atmospheric churches for a candlelit Carol Service that is the 16th Century Halifax Minster. You have to visit it to fully appreciate its interior but its exterior is so impressive

There is a lot of history in this church. I really like the ancient local family crests painted on the wooden panelled ceiling. All of my children were baptised in the beautifully carved stone font. There are lots of lovely stained glass windows. Well worth a visit.
