- 1globetrotters47 contributionsFantastic time at Robin Hood pantoFantastic time at Robin Hood panto. The understudies were brilliant. The whole cast, the music, songs, jokes, and backdrops were great. Lovely theatre too. Friendly bar staff, no long queues. Preferred it to pricier pantos /theatres I've been to. - CHRIS L224 contributionsWell done PlayhouseGreat intimate theatre. Easy access, lots of pre event seating & Bar. Good bar, plenty of choice & helpful staff. Seating in theatre well designed, comfortable, all have an acceptable view of stage. Special thanks to Staff, who were helpful, polite & thoughtful. Special thanks to the manageress. Put Her all into customer care. Rolled Her sleeves up, done her best to make things run smoothly. Plenty of adjacent parking.Visited November 2022Traveled with friendsWritten November 11, 2022
- Scott SCarrollton, Texas59 contributionsWonderful small theater not too far from LondonWe had the privilege of hearing Johnny Warman and his Magic Bus performing their "Total Who Show" at this venue. It is a great venue, small enough to be intimate but big enough to hold some first-class rock and roll music! We were on a short visit to London and had no trouble catching a short train ride up to Harlow. The staff was great and the atmosphere perfect. I suspect every type of entertainment presented here is great, and as far as our visit, it could not have been better, (unless it hadn't rained!) In the beginning, I had a bit of problem with the seating/ticketing process, but the staff handled my problem promptly and satisfactorily. Thumbs up!!Visited September 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten September 17, 2018

my Son brought a gift voucher for me and my husband to see a show at the playhouse Harlow for Christmas, decided to book online after using the voucher I had £3 left to pay so I used my visa for the remainder of the balance, but it took all the money off my visa instead of using the voucher. I called them straight away to be told by a male member of staff I need to E-Mail which I done I am still waiting for a reply, so I called again spoke to a lovey lady called Connie who spoke with the finance team and the manager, but unfortunately got told you cannot use the gift card/voucher online so why did it ask for my card number??? They will not allow me to have a refund on my card and repurchase the tickets with the voucher as they will incur cost apparently !! when I ask how much surprise surprise they could not tell me. So all I can say is happy Christmas to me and my husband and sorry son you have not paid for the present you thought you was getting us. I feel sorry for the staff when you have managers that think they are too good to speak to you RUDE

Took my parents to see a show at The Harlow Playhouse recently. None of us had been before as it’s not exactly local to us but it happened to be where this particular show was on. Both of my parents require assistance and we’d booked the seating designated for disabled patrons. The whole experience was excellent and we couldn’t recommend you visit the theatre enough. The show was really good and my parents enjoyed it thoroughly. However the experience was all about the staff and how kind, friendly and helpful they were from the first minute we arrived to the last. They really came across as caring about every single person who attends a show and it made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. They are undergoing some renovations at the moment and have a little more to do to make the whole place a little more attractive generally but that doesn’t detract from the ability to thoroughly enjoy yourself. Thanks to all the staff to made such an effort.

I’ve been to a few shows here and my daughter also attends ballet. The staff are all really helpful and friendly, especially the cafe/bar staff and the security team. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, the coffee is good and the atmosphere is lovely. We frequently use the children’s area upstairs and it’s always kept clean and tidy and keeps my little entertained for ages. The mini cinema is also lovely! Thanks everyone!

This local theatre is very good. The management is good and the seating is excellent. The seats are spaced so that it would be extremely unlikely to get someone's head blocking your view. This makes it slightly harder for people with mobility issues but if you choose your seat wisely you should find some that are easier to access. Website is good and easy to navigate. We went to see Barbara Dixon and the sound was excellent.

Fantastic sound quality. The actors were able to reach the top of the theatre by guy ropes, which was great fun. Great aerial acrobatics. The steps up to the seats are quite steep so are a challenge for less mobile people. If you seat is at the top rows r s etc is a bit scary if you suffer from vertigo.

I went to see Joe Brown in concert last night. Excellent show, good venue, comfortable seats, though a bit short on leg room. However, what did let the theatre down were the ladies toilets, which were not only shabby, the majority would not flush. They were many annoyed women! This is something that needs urgent attention.

The Harlow playhouse is a great place to visit. They have lots of really good shows on, good value for money for a good night out. It has a good bar area. When visiting the playhouse it is right next door to the car park, very convenient.
