Processed, microwaved food but even then the chips were lukewarm. Bland scampi and a thimble of tartaresauce which soaked through the cardboard it was served in. Food served on cold plates which for some reason were lined with greaseproof paper.

The hare is a great place to have a beer and something to nibble! My first trip there, I learned about English beer, no they do not like it warm! This beer is cellar cold! just right! so if anyone says the English like thier beer warm, tell them to stuff it!! You know better!

Average food - 2-4-1 deals so fine for lunch.£3 for large Diet Coke and couple of quid for coffee. Don’t go expecting much and you won’t be disappointed. No pleasant scenery here and hit and miss with clientele (someone smoking weed in the garden when we were eating and another letting their dog run riot around us) but plenty of free parking so that’s a plus I suppose. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon

This wasn't friends, it was family, however no other choice of category fitted. We were a party of over 20, who wanted to get together after the placement of the ashes of a loved one. The Hare made us very welcome, they were expecting us as we pre booked. The weather was hot and sunny, some of our party sat outside with a drink to catch the sun, the grounds are pretty and there is plenty of parking space. Once ordered the food didn't take long to arrive, it was hot and fresh and tasty. I had the red pepper pasta with a chicken breast, very tasty with a hint of heat, followed by chocolate ice cream sundae. A very pleasant pace to spend a few hours with loved ones.

Very warm and friendly pub also good value for money. Most of the menu is 241 offers and they have a specials board, the food is nothing fancy, just good pub grub. Definitely worth a visit especially if you don't want to spend a fortune. The merlot is very nice also.
