I visited the Generous Briton pub outside Loughborough several times during my recent visit to England. It is right out of a BBC drama series which might include a local country pub - absolutely beautiful - wonderful staff - great food (I ate there several...More

Cheap, comfy and calm, really laid back and relaxed - both to watch sports and have pints with friends. They don't offer food, but you're welcome to bring your takeaway. Super friendly and helpful staff, good choice of drinks. My first choice pub in Loughborough!

As said above, drinks were cheep, bar staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was was calm. The live music night was brilliant, the music suited the bar well, but didn't interfere with the mood too much.

Pleasant pub , good especially to watch sport and unusually allows you to take your own take out food in as they don't cook themselves. They also helpfully provide plates, cutlery and condiments - a trend others could follow!

A must if you are on a real ale trail in Loughborough and well worth a visit. Not a food pub but a great stop over if you are heading elsewhere to eat out.
