Fantastic cafe, very good value, dealt with my partners allergy by switching things on her breakfast without charge. Very children and dog friendly and even don’t mind our muddy boots😀.

We visited today and climbed from the lower car park to the summit and took a different route down again. It’s a long slope but not especially steep and a good path up from one car park to the other. I knew this park from my childhood and student days. It was good to renew my acquaintance with it. The views from the top, where the trig point is are worth seeing - although we really need to go back on a clearer day. There’s a circular plaque mounted on stone which indicates where various places are and at least some can be seen from the top, e.g. Old John at Bradgate park. We visited the cafe for a coffee and a super bacon sandwich. There are toilets at the lower car park. Parking charges are reasonable too.

Beautiful trails through the trees but you need to have a standard of fitness due to the hilly terrain. Some fantastic views from the summit looking over leafy Leicestershire.

Great place to stop for a breif walk.
Car park was £2 and is next to the high point of the rocks. So I think spoils the walk to it and I would only use the car park if I had some one with limited mobility.
We parked at the layby in Shepshed Road...this gives u a nice 15 minute walk along a well kept path.
This is an absolutely lovely place to visit and the rock formations make u feel like u could be up a mountain.
Lovely place but note the sign which states it can be closed before 1 Aug to protect the local wildlife. As I was there today it wasn't an issue.

Nice place for a walk with the dog and take in the view of Loughborough from a elevated position. On the day we visited, there was an ice cream van in the car park. If it is windy (like the day we visited), it is definitely worth taking something wind proof and warm as it can get chilly even for a warm day.

The loop route takes less than an hour but the views are great if you climb to the top of the hill. Very dog friendly but there are some livestock areas where dogs must be kept on leads.
There is a cafe located at the lower car park offering drinks, snacks and sandwich options.

Great morning's walk. Interesting walk. Fabulous views. Great crags at the summit. Never been before, but would definitely go again if we're in the area

Hi can we use disposable bbqs at the park?
Trekbud

There are certain areas set aside for bbqs (one near the top car park and one near the bottom car park). As long as one of these areas has a bbq stand available (ie not already in use by someone else) then you can use these areas.

Hi is this park situated anywhere near loughbourgh town centre if travelling on the number 1 from Nottingham and does it have a children's park 😀

Beacon Hill is about 3 miles out of Loughborough. It's a wholly natural feature, so there's plenty of room for children to run around; there's nothing put there for children to play with or on
