Thoroughly enjoyed the reminders of a bygone age.... The food was excellent and the service polite and prompt. I was glad I was warmly dressed as the carriage was a little damp and on the chilly side.

A cold winters day but steam was running regulalrly and coal fires were burning in all the waiting rooms at Quorn and Woodhouse Station. Staff very friendly and a nice railway all in all.

An unbelievable event, full... More

My colleague and I visited the GCR last Friday 27th for the Winter Steam Gala and it was a credit again to all the volunteers that made it a most enjoyable day (it may have been bloody cold but it does not stop them from all their duties for the gala). I hope all people realise the amount of work... More
