I love that we have a cinema in our town and showing the latest films, but there is a however; our last 3 visits the screens we have been in were very cold! Had to put coats back on and I did leave the screening to go tell a member of staff as everyone in there was cold, but they did nothing. PLEASE listen to your customers.
Also, I think if they brought the ticket prices down by say £1 they would get so many more visitors.
Last of all and this is going to sound so grumpy, but my god, the amount of people talking through the film and with mobile phones out is ridiculous. I wish the staff would pop their heads in doing regular checks and hush down these people who ruin it for everyone else.

I liked the old curzon. But the prices have risen twice since the Odeon took over the cinema and very little seems to have been done to improve the facilities. The air conditioning has been chilling on a couple of occasions so we have had to keep our coats on. It is great that it is a multiplex so there is a good choice of films that changes regularly.

Saw Gravity in 3D in screen 1 yesterday evening with my girlfriend. The film was excellent, but unfortunately this isn't a film review.
The cinema itself is seriously sub-standard, and I doubt we'll be returning any time soon. The main reason for this is because the auditorium was that cold that we both kept our outdoor coats on throughout the entire film. Space is freezing cold so in a way it was appropriate but it was only supposed to be 3D, not 4D!
Picture and sound quality was very good though, which is the only reason I gave a rating of two instead of one.

This is now an Odeon by the way. The screen is to small out of focus. The cinema is always cold. The toilets are dated and small. The seats are sticky and dirty. Gawd knows whats going to happen to this building when the Cineworld opens next year and this cinema closes down.

For the same price as the multiplexes this really isn't worth it. The screen we were in (5) was hot with no air con, it smelt rather unpleasant and at quieter times of our movie, we could hear the sound from the adjoining screen.

Now under the odeon franchise but still worth visiting - great films, often only £4 or so and a piece of history-well worth supporting!
