I recently discovered a hidden gem in Loughborough when looking for somewhere to hire for a Halloween party. The Needle & Pin is free to hire and can take a max of 30 people in the upstairs room. I couldn’t be more happy that I chose this lovely little craft pub to host, as the owners Sean & Rebecca couldn’t have been more accommodating! Not only were the choice of drinks great, the atmosphere was friendly and cosy. We were allowed to bring decorations and use their vinyl record player (there’s many records to choose from) which was a really special touch. I will definitely return and recommend to everyone! Thankyou for your hospitality!

The Needle and Pin is a warm welcoming pub. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It is an amazingly comfortable space and the beer is always in excellent condition.
When I started coming to this pub about 5 years ago it I didn’t know anyone in it. Now I have lots of friends in it. As a single woman that is saying something. As pubs go it feels so safe and so comfortable.

Make your way to this hidden gem … a variety of real and craft ales, a friendly welcome with regular live music and spoken word events … my partner and I were delighted to find this little oasis amongst a sea of mainstream pubs.

Been to this micro pub now many times. Its easily become my very favourite place in town. Tiny but perfectly formed. I remember that this was an electronics shop before Sean the proprietor bought and renovated the building. There's some photos around the place showing what it was like before so to extend and build up in such a small place was amazing. Its literally a "2 up 2 down" micro pub with an ever changing selection of artisan beers and ciders and also a really good selection of imported bottles and cans. Drink availability is always changing and that for me is the attraction of patronage.
Now don't go thinking you will get a full selection of wines and spirits for the Sheila, you wont but what you do get is really friendly service from those that know their onions (beer that is) and there's a lot of ever changing onions! Go for the beer and the vinyl and the atmosphere! Yes vinyl as in music as in record player upstairs, there's a selection to play yourself or take your own.
if you want food, you wont get it here! BUT you can order in and its fine with the gaffer, that i think is really cool to offer.
There's also board games and events going off occasionally and a small library of mags and comic and books for the lone drinker but you wont feel alone!
I also like the needle and pin branded glasses. In fact i love that touch.
You can also ask to taste anything before buying it. they keep small jars on the bar to show the colour of the beers on offer on draughts which again is a nice touch.
BEWARE! Take cash as to keep costs down you cant pay by card, the nearest cash-point is outside the door cross the road and up the steps to the evil empire that is Tesco.
Go. Enjoy. And return!

This is my favorite UK pub - the staff is wonderful, welcoming, and very knowledgeable; the beer selection can't be beat (both drafts and an amazingly wide selection of bottles and cans), and there are board games and a record player upstairs as well as lots of seating.
Go in, say hello, and taste some of the best beers in England!

When full the pub can hold 50 customers in its downstairs and upstairs small rooms. Downstairs is the bar with 4 handpumps. serving excellent kept changing real ales. There is also an selection of ciders, perries and an large selection of bottled and can beers. Also available are wines gins and some malt whiskies. Downstairs conversation rules whilst upstairs there is an extensive selection of vinyl LPs which can be played on an record player. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. All in all an excellent addition to the pub scene in Loughborough

A very small drinking establishment that may feel oddly familiar to anyone who has lived in one of Loughborough's many terraced houses. Downstairs is a small bar containing a big range of local beers and some interesting ciders. Upstairs more seating and a stack of eighties vinyl that you can put on as you fancy. Very recently refurbished with a cosy feel. They offer hot snack in the afternoon and welcome pizzas from Peter pizzas if you need to refuel later on in the evening.

It looked very full but after we were served the barman told us about upstairs. People up there were playing records and there were plenty of free seats. Very clean pub. Tasty real ales. The staff were helpful when it came to choosing. A great addition to the bars/pubs of Loughborough.
