We spent an excellent Sunday afternoon here. We had great fun on the tram, train and trolleybus (fast round the corners); spent time exploring the museums, and had a welcome cup of tea as well.
The volunteers are all very enthusiastic and make this a friendly place to visit.

What a lovely little museum! Made to feel very welcome by all the volunteers - we, and our young grand daughter, travelled on the trams, the trolley bus and the train, wandered around the exhibits, dressed up in the costumes, ate in the cafe and bought some mementoes in the shop.

Reasonably priced entry, and the cafe and gift shop prices are also very affordable. (a pot of tea for two, two large cakes, a soft drink and packet of crisps, was two thirds of the price of the two cappuccinos and a squash we'd had earlier in our caravan park!)'

We will definitely be returning !

We got the X22 from Norwich bus station, runs every half hour, the stop is right outside the museum. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Museum has a cafe, retail outlet.
Easy to walk round, there are other buildings to see e.g. garage as well as the star attractions - the trams and trolley buses. Rides are available on some vehicles plus the miniature railway.

This is an excellent day out. A really lovely place with lots of ride on vintage trams, trolley buses and a railway. All run by volunteers who do an amazing job and are very enthusiastic. There is a lovely cafe which is very reasonably priced and also a gift shop. It is not expensive to get in and if you are able to do a gift aid you get a free return ticket for up to a year. Cannot wait to return and definitely well worth five stars.

Came here 5 years ago and returned on Sunday 20th September 21 as we were again staying in Warner's Gunton Hall resort near Lowestoft. We took many free rides on all the trams and the little railway which now goes into a new under construction station after the museum has bought a new field since we visited last.
We took many photos and really enjoyed our day out visiting again.
One of the tram conductors was telling us that he wished more people would start to visit again as they need so much more money before they can complete all they want to do in the new field they have great plans when they have the money to finish them all. So come on guys this is a great place for all ages and the ticket price includes free parking although it isn't a big car park so come as soon as it opens to get a space maybe.
So take a look at our photos and then make sure you come for a visit soon.
As we bet you leave happy you did John & Sue Eastbourne UK

We looked online for local attractions and found brochure after for the East Anglian transport museum near Lowestoft, we didn't pre-book even though it is only open once a week , because it's run by volunteers, it was easy to find, the car park was free, it was very olde worlde , the trolley bus and trams were just inside the entrance, the rides were very nice and authentic, the miniature railway was a lovely trip, the old buses and the steamrollers etc were very interesting ,there was a cafe and the staff were very informative , it is a lovely afternoon out

Literally couldn't have loved this place more. My 2 year old is obsessed with vehicles but because of covid he hasn't been on a train or a tram yet. We loved riding around on the train, trams and trolleybus and there are so many other vehicles to see, he was absolutely in his element. The staff were so friendly and the price was well worth it. We spent 2 and a half hours there.
