Not far from the A12 south of Lowestoft. This is a large zoo focusing on African animals. Most of the main facilities are near the entrance although we did notice with Covid measures in place queues for the loos built up. To the left of the entrance is where you’ll find most of the large animals and it was great to see both large enclosures and areas where you could easily photograph the animals. Once you set off it’s actually quite a long relaxing walk to see this part of the zoo. There were snack bars but some were closed but mainly it was just nice to walk all the way around and view the animals. Once we got back towards the entrance we were hungry and found it much quicker to make the short walk to the other side of the zoo (right of the main entrance) where there was a large cafe which wasn’t too busy. This is also the area where they put on animal shows which were really good. The animals on the side have smaller enclosure and include birds and monkeys etc. All in all we spent 4 to 5 hours at the zoo and had a great time.

Had an amazing day out at this zoo today. A one way system is used throughout the park. It was lovely to see all the animals on a less busy day. What made the trip so special was the African Amimal show that runs twice a day, it was great to see some fantastic animals showing natural behaviour as well as getting some information about them from the keeper. We will definitely be coming back again, as well as their sister zoo...Banham zoo.

Had a great few hours at Africa Alive and we still enjoyed it despite the weather and the obvious closure of a number of attractions due to COVID. Despite it being October half term, it wasn't too busy. We got to see most of the animals although alot were inside due to the rain. The catering staff in the Limpopo Cafe were very friendly and full of smiles. The car parking was a short walk from the park. It's a shame the train and some of the Meet The Animal Experiences were closed but I would definitely recommend a visit to this wildlife park.

Having visited several times over the summer months and finding safety measures for Covid in place I was looking forward to visiting again however today I found the measures had disappeared despite rising cases in Norfolk and Suffolk. The toilets had returned to pre Covid days and were overcrowded with people queueing inside on top of each other and hand dryers spreading terms throughout. The extra toilets had disappeared. A very stressful afternoon which I will not be repeating. Such a shame because it has been a zoo j gave regularly visited and I want to support zoos as they continue to card for the animals.

We had a great day. The highlight was giraffe feeding. The kids loved that. We payed extra to do this and booked it when we arrived. The layout of the zoo was lovely. Beautiful trees and lawns. Very spacious. It was a shame the train wasn’t running when we visited. Presumably due to heavy rain the precious day. It was a great day out. I would have given a 5 if the safari bus was running and the feeding sessions/talks we’re on but understandably due to Covid they couldn’t do those sessions.
