great cinema showing latest films, good reasonable priced, wish we lived in area to go more often, was here on holiday, we only have the big named cinemas which are too expensive. could even afford to treat ourselves to drink and popcorn as this was reasonably priced too. friendly polite staff, clean, comfortable seats. great little gem

Went to see Wild Robot at East Coast Cinema October 2024. Lovely family friendly atmosphere with extremely reasonable prices & snack prices. Special mention to the staff member who was overseeing everything he was so friendly & courteous much nicer experience than with the big corporations in London. Please support this local cinema if you are in the area you won’t be disappointed & they deserve to stay in business for many years to come.

This is no longer called Hollywood Cinema, it’s called Eastcoast cinema.
We came to watch BadBoys 3. We paid on arrival. Screen 3 it was on, we managed to get decent seats without anyone sitting next to us.
Sound and picture good, no complaints.

It's better to have a cinema than not have one! Better to have this place than have to go all the way to Norwich. It's just the venue that is poor the staff are good and service is fine. Nothing that millions of pounds of investment wouldn't cure

So this cinema is now East Coast Cinema and I have visited this cinema ever since I was a little girl.

Sure it is not as big and grande as Odeon etc, but it has a gorgeous little charm about it.

We paid to see Mario Bros movie, but my son struggled with noise levels,. So after 15 mins we had to leave. Staff kindly gave us return free tickets and said if we call up the manager can sort a private showing and lower noise levels etc.

So I rang up and the manager did just this. We arranged a suitable time and we had the whole screen just us and he altered the sound to a comfortable level for my child. Nothing was too much trouble... And it didn't cost any more than standard ticket prices!

Now pricing is amazing, for 2 adults off. Peak is under a tenner! You can't beat that

They do a lovely. Kids snack box which has 2 bags haribo, popcorn and a drink and although I can't recall the price exactly it wasn't expensive at all.

The toilet facilities are always clean and there is disabled toilet facilities also.

They still have hand sanitizer out should you wish to use it.

I really can not rate this cinema enough.

I was already impressed. Then I rang up today as my partner took the Friday off work to watch the new marvel film, but the timings didn't work for us. 1 quick call later and the manager had put in another public showing earlier in the day for us, so we could attend!

I mean who does this? Which company goes above and beyond for you? Not the big companies, because they don't really care.

Honestly, I highly recommend.

There is public parking right behind the cinema at a public carpark which is about £4.50 for about 4 hours. So it's good value all. Round.

Please go and visit and support this small business.

Brilliant little 4 screen cinema which offer old school move experience. Prices are excellent and food and sack also very cheap in comparison to the bigger boys. OK so there is no 4DX but what you do get is comfy seats, plenty of leg room great sound and high quality screens. Staff are simply superb and are there because they want to be there and offer good service. This is the type of cinema almost lost in the days of modern multiplexes, I will go nowhere else from now onwards.

Although it may look a little run down compared to the glossy multi-plex cinemas this cinema was brilliant and a credit to the staff. With a smile and willingness to do anything for you from the manager fetching booster seats to the screen team replacing a spilt drink it was a pleasure to visit.

The picture was great, sound spot on and pretty good value all round I was really impressed with this little independent that clearly have staff who want to be there.

Thanks for an excellent experience.

good local cinema offers drinks and sweets but a tad on the expensive side, I think there are about 4 picture screens

It baffles me that that this place is so popular and yet they still have not updated the seating (and by that i don't mean "new seats" that are the same size and same itchy fabric as the old ones) someone recently told me that its been renovated and i just don't understand what they have done? to me it looks the same as it did in the 90s! (this was my first visit back in a very long time!)
Im all for supporting the local town, but i simply cannot bring myself to watch another film here!. Sometimes it feels like lowestoft will always be stuck in the dark ages!
Im going to leave my review on a some what positive note however to say the prices here are exceptional, i actually thought they had made a mistake when they told me the price.
