First time we went to this cinema, The movie lost sound half way through and had to be rewound. Second time the door was left open a good 30 mins into the movie letting in light and sound from the ticket and food area... We've been here about 5 times now, when we cant be bothered to take the trip... More

An independent cinema that is old school , high on friendly service with good quality sound and vision but low on prices .

I've recently moved from London to Lowestoft and have visited a fair few cinemas in London. East coast cinema is a quaint local cinema that is decently priced with friendly staff too.

Visited here on the 21/11/2015 and horrified at the price charged for such a dated cinema...Yes they had the flooring and work done after the floods but the seats are ancient and uncomfortable. The main screen room is tiny...This is the last time I will visit there. It's definitely well worth visiting any other cinema in the area. Ft Yarmouth... More

This is a poor, old basic cinema. Tiny screens, definitely worth driving to Norwich and going to odeon. I would only visit here again when I have no transport to get to Norwich- which is never.

I love this cinema! Its far better then driving all the way to Norwich for Odeon or vue. Its cheep to get in and isn't over the top with advertising which I love. The staff here make the place wonderful with how cheerful and personal they are to all their guests. Since being taken over the décor has improved and... More

Now called East Coast Cinema this is a great local spot. The staff are welcoming and especially box office staff. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to big chains like Odeon. Its terrific value for money. All 4 screens are spacious and clean. I particularly like the 20 seat screen 4 as it feels intimate but not overcrowded. The selection... More

East Coast Cinema doesn't try and sell itself as some big cinema. It is a small cinema, with small screens and small speakers. Personally, I prefer to spend extra to jump on a train to Norwich and go to the Odeon, but it is nice to have the option of taking my son to the cinema on a whim, which... More
