Great morning out on the Kayaks. All equipment provided. Just bring wet shoes if you have any, or available to purchase in the shop. Parking in the short stay is pricey £5 for 3 hours so suggest park further away in town and walk down to the quay. The shop is opposite the slipway. Lovely friendly business.

Good fun couple of hours in the kayaks. We were able to take our dog on the kayak which was fun! The safety briefing was very brief and it wasn’t entirely clear where we could and couldn’t go. The warning of not getting in the way of the Isle of Wight ferry was a little alarming but we managed just fine. Good fun for all

Hired two single kayaks for two hours. Briefing was done before hire so there was plenty of time on the water. Very stable kayaks, and a waterproof bag was provided free on request. If you’re not experienced, you can practice under the railway bridge, which has little to no boat traffic and no waves, and can do out towards the coast of you feel comfortable enough. My only comment is the briefing was very...brief. It wasn’t totally clear as to where we could/couldn’t go, especially if you were unfamiliar with the area, and the map wasn’t very helpful as it was pixelated (some new ones would be good). Good fun!

We ordered two singles for two hours. It was not the slickest in terms of the booking process, I emailed about availability and was asked to call if I wanted to book, there was no option of a receipt or confirmation email after paying over the phone which seemed odd. When we arrived we were perplexed as Google maps said we were there but we were outside shop which turns out that was where we were supposed to be, signage would be good! So we joined the queue in the shop and were asked to fill in a form which was straight forward enough and to read the t&pc's which stipulated a deposit per boat was required and ID, none of which were taken. We were shown to the two boats waiting down by the quay, a very brief overview of where we could go, a waterproof map and bag for our belongings and off we could go. No help or advise on getting into the water. I would strongly recommend shoes that you do not care about as the slip way down in is very muddy, or perhaps a change of clothes as I had very soggy shorts after! The kayaking was fun, it was both of our first time and so we spent time in the little bay area for practice, we did venture our to the quay for a loop, I was a bit apprehensive with the boats around me but everyone was patient and gave you time to tuck in. Two hours was too long as so we returned after just over an hour, I think if we done it again we would have hired a double as it would have felt more sociable than being on our own in one each. Very much worth a go though, and the side bay area with no boats to practice helps get your confidence up before you go out o to the quay.

With some friends we decide to go kayaking and went to rent them to this place. Really friendly and experience staff. We were lucky enough to be lent some brand new equipment. I am definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to spend few hours in the sea.
