I loved going to the island cinema. There were lots of films to watch and when you actually go inside its so cosy. The seats are very comfy. There is also lots of pick and mix, popcorn, slushies and other great snacks. It is not much money at all. Definetly reccomend

Excellent value at £4.50 for any film. Cosy, friendly and accessible with easy parking. It is my go to cinema.

I like the olde worlde vibe of this place, the smaller screens, comfy seats, the choice of films and showing times, the ability to park nearby. I love the ticket prices and the cost of the snacks - I can't afford the Odeon or Vue! But above all, I really like the friendly, welcoming staff. It's not often I'm able to take my mobility impaired mother to the cinema, but when I do, the staff make her feel like an individual, rather than a nuisance. There's a sturdy lift up the main stairs, which takes a full wheelchair. Then a disabled toilet off the foyer, which is kept locked and remains in good condition. And outside screen 1, there's a mini stairlift with a swivel seat. My mum felt very well cared and each member of staff was smiley and helpful. Absolute pleasure and made my Mum's day - thank you to all working the afternoon shift today!

I love going to my local cinema, The island in St Anne's. Today I went to see 'Emma' with my sister. Something we were looking forward to doing. However, when we got there we were told there was no heating in the cinema as the heating was broken. The manager came out to see us and she told us they had posted it on 'Facebook,' I wondered if she realised not everyone checks Facebook. Or we could come back a different day... We decided to grin and bare it but a complimentary tea or coffee would have helped warm us. (Especially those ladies who were also sitting in a cold cinema whom were elderly.) There was also no such warning on Facebook. I am disappointed that a) the manager didn't seem bothered and B) they had done very little to sort the problem. Leaving the cinema, the corridor outside was quite simply tropical in temperature. Had staff thought about it the could have had the door propped open, before the showing to let a little warmth in. I don't want to not use The Island but please, sort out your heating... This certainly isn't the first time this has happened.

We always catch a film here when visiting St. Annes. The price is a bargain, they sell snacks, sweets, drinks. The sound is always good, the ambience is quaint but the cinema is effective in delivering really good films for a great price in lovely surroundings.
